So happy to finally have my mix out in the world! Recorded early on this year, was a big turning point for me figuring out my sound and the sort of music I want to play. DJ, radio host and co-founder of party collective Dstreet - Eora & event series club less, Tangela has become synonymous with the growth of Sydney / Eora’s ever-blossoming dance communities. From hosting a heaving Saturday night slot on FBi Radio, playing headline shows including a recent Boiler Room debut, supporting the likes of Donato Dozzy, Ben UFO, Call Super, Pariah, Jon Hopkins, Maara, D. Tiffany & OR:LA, as well as running events at her very own warehouse venue, she’s been a name impossible to ignore.

Focusing on depth, bass-heavy rhythms, and the stripped-back, deeper shades of techno, trance and idm, Tangela plays across genres and tempos in unexpected ways, telling stories through intricate soundscapes. Tangela’s style pushes the sound for which Australia has become so known, and she’ll be joining Soma fresh off the back of a Summer of gigs in Europe.

We can’t wait to dance with Tangela and her signature squelchy, wobbly, gooey sound on a big system in the bush 🌀🌱
