📢 Urgent Update: Ministerial Intervention Requested — Only 13 Days Left on Our Visa
Our Bridging Visa is due to expire on 24 June 2025.
After the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) refused our appeal, we were incredibly grateful that the Member referred our case directly to the Immigration Minister for Ministerial Intervention. We’ve now submitted our full application, along with updated police clearances from both Australia and the UK.
Now, we wait.
This long period of uncertainty has been incredibly difficult, especially for Jessica. Being on a Bridging Visa for several years has severely limited her employment options. Despite being fully qualified, motivated, and eager to contribute, she’s been turned down for countless roles, including recent temporary jobs, solely because of our uncertain visa status.
Still, Jess remains hopeful and active. She has several DJ gigs coming up this weekend and is thrilled to share that her recent fundraiser, “Let’s Dance!”, raised over $3,000 for MS Australia. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Noir, the brilliant DJs who donated their time, and each and every one of you who supported the event by attending or donating — you made this possible.
As the expiry date approaches, our anxiety increases — but so does our hope.
💬 To everyone who has supported us so far: thank you!
🙏 Please continue to share our petition, tag your local MP, and help us keep our story in the spotlight.
