Laura thought she’d either found her future husband… or been ghosted. There was apparently no middle ground. 😅💍

Tonight I’m at the award-winning Epping Club for the very first time, and I could not be more excited to help Laura and John kick off what is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration. With drums, games, laughter, and a packed dancefloor on the cards, this party is ready to hit another level.

These two met on Bumble and had their first date on 8 June 2024. Fast forward exactly two years, and they’re saying "I do" on the anniversary of the day it all began. Somewhere along the way, John quietly deleted his dating profile without mentioning it, leaving Laura wondering whether she was officially in a relationship or had just experienced the world's most confusing ghosting.

Thankfully, it was the former. With John's Egyptian heritage and Laura's Aussie roots, tonight is a beautiful celebration of two families, two backgrounds, and one incredible love story.

What a weekend. 💜💛

I am still feeling incredibly grateful after being part of the 25th Cancer Council NSW Hills Relay For Life 2026 at Castle Hill Showground.

This event is hard to describe until you are there.

It is walking laps.
It is school bands and community performances.
It is the Box Car Rally and Battle of the Bands.
It is survivors, carers, families, volunteers and friends coming together.
It is the quiet power of the Candlelight Hope Ceremony.
It is a whole community saying, “Cancer has taken enough.”

And this year, the Hills community went above and beyond, exceeding the $300,000 target and raising $301,755 for Cancer Council Australia’s research, prevention and support services.

That is huge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Like so many people, cancer has touched my life personally, which is why I will never say no to donating my time to this cause.

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of hosting the launch event, then filling in for the amazing Angela Pike during the afternoon session at Relay on Sunday. Angela has hosted this event for the past 18 years, and while she is hanging up the mic after this year, she is absolutely not hanging up her involvement.

To Angela, and to the Hills Relay For Life Committee - Lisa Carruthers, Jenny Glover, Lynne Pike, Alison Harper, Bev Jordan, Katie, Myles and the entire team - thank you for trusting me with a small part of such an important event.

I was also incredibly honoured to be invited to take up the torch and the microphone moving forward in 2027.

Of course, the only answer was yes.

To every relayer, volunteer, performer, sponsor, donor and supporter: thank you for reminding us what community can do when it moves together.

Celebrate. Remember. Fight back.

It’s been almost a week, and I’m still pinching myself.

To be named WINNER of the Wedding Services category at the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Awards is an honour I’m still struggling to put into words.

Over the past week, I’ve received so many beautiful messages, kind words, and well-wishes, and I just want to say thank you. Truly. The love and support have meant more than I can express 🙏

To be trusted by my couples to play such an important role in one of the biggest days of their lives is already something I never take lightly. To then be recognised on a national stage in this way is incredibly humbling.

When I started this business five years ago, I could never have imagined the journey it would take me on. To now add this honour to the 30+ local, regional, national, and international accolades I’ve been fortunate enough to receive along the way is something I’m deeply grateful for.

But more than anything, this award is not a finish line.

It is a reminder.

A reminder of how much I love what I do.
A reminder of the responsibility that comes with it.
And a reminder to keep raising the bar.

To every couple who has trusted me, thank you for allowing me to put on the suit, take my microphone out of its box, and help create a celebration worthy of your story - a night that feels stress-free and unforgettable in the moment, and remembered for years to come.

Your trust is the reason I get to do what I do.
And this recognition only inspires me to make every wedding and every event even better than the last.

The journey continues, and I genuinely can’t wait for what’s to come.

This one was special. 🎭

Last week, I had the privilege of working as Stage Manager for the National Institute of Dramatic Art's annual fundraiser, Raise the Curtain, an incredible evening supporting student scholarships and productions at such a prestigious and important acting school.

The event raised more than half a million dollars, which is just phenomenal.

I love the full scope of events - the mic, the spotlight, the comms, the cues, the backstage chaos, the little problem-solving moments no one ever sees, and the huge moments the whole room feels. So it’s always a privilege when I get to step away from being front and centre and help bring a major event to life from behind the scenes.

Also… beloved Australian actor Sarah Snook was there. And yes, I was a little star-struck. 😂

A huge congratulations to Marney McQueen, who was absolutely fabulous to watch as MC. From “Karen the stage manager” to the big reveal, all the way through to her Celine Dion megamix finale, she had the room from start to finish. Such a joy and honour to work with you as a fellow MC.

Congratulations as well to Creative Director Alexander Berlage and Designer Hailley Hunt for the beautiful creative world they built for the night. Alex, being unexpectedly folded into your creative direction on the night was such a welcome surprise and, honestly, a lot of fun. I never imagined my NIDA onstage debut would involve raising an applause sign onstage in front of Australia’s theatre elite… but I’ll take it. 😂

Thank you to Danny Lander and Concept Entertainment Group for always being so kind and generous in welcoming me back time and time again. I always look forward to the next one with you and the team.

And a huge shoutout to my student ASM team, Finn and Georgia, who did such a great job learning the ropes of corporate-style stage management and were absolute rocks on the night. Well done!

A gorgeous night, a brilliant cause, and a reminder of why I love this industry so much.

257 new Australians.

One very proud Camden moment.

Last week, I had the absolute honour of MCing the Camden Council Citizenship Ceremony at Camden Civic Centre, where we officially welcomed 257 new citizens to Australia and into our local community.

These ceremonies always hit differently.

You see families smiling, flags waving, proud faces in the crowd, and people taking a step that represents years of hope, hard work, sacrifice, and commitment.

As someone raised in Camden, NSW, it is incredibly special to stand in front of our newest Australian community members and help lead a ceremony that marks both the end of one journey and the beginning of a brand new Australian story.

Australia is built on multiculturalism, and there is no better reminder of that than a citizenship ceremony filled with love, pride, gratitude, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to Madison Young and the entire events team at Camden Council for trusting me once again to MC such a meaningful occasion.

It was also a privilege to share the stage with Dharawal Elder Aunty Glenda Chalker, Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, Councillor Dr Abha Suri, and Camden Council GM Andrew Carfield.

And yes, when it came time for a good ol’ Aussie cheer… the room absolutely understood the assignment. 🇦🇺

I’ve hosted plenty of events… but I don’t think I’ve ever had quite this much water between me and the audience before. 😂🎤

Vibes by the Lake at Nurragingy Reserve was an absolute beauty.

The setting, the music, the families, the dancing, the food, the sunshine, the lakeside energy… it was one of those afternoons that reminded me why local community events are so special.

A huge thank you to Andrew and the whole events team at Blacktown City Council, and to SWR 99.9 FM, for having me back to MC another fantastic community event.

I even had people come up to me during the day saying they had driven all the way from Coogee specifically for the event — and they were blown away by how great it was.

That made my day.

I still can’t quite believe I get to say this…

Nathan Cassar: Master of Ceremonies has won the 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 at the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Awards 🏆

This is, without question, the biggest achievement of my career so far.

Five years ago, this business was just an idea. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of being part of more than 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, supporting 𝟮𝟬𝟬+ 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀, celebrating with 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀, and working alongside so many incredible people to help create moments that feel joyful, connected, and unforgettable.

This award means so much because it represents all of it.

The late nights.
The prep.
The calls.
The admin.
The energy.
The care.
The responsibility of helping make one of the most important days in people’s lives feel truly special.

And the truth is, no one gets to a moment like this alone.

To every couple who trusted me, every family who welcomed me in, every venue and supplier I’ve worked alongside, and every friend, family member, and supporter who has backed me over the years... thank you. So much of this belongs to you, too.

And in a twist that feels very fitting… I wasn’t actually at the awards.

While the event was happening at The Star Sydney, I was off doing what I love most - hosting a wedding at Growwild Wildflower Farm.

So my beautiful partner 𝗖𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗲 stepped in for me, represented me on the night, accepted the award on my behalf, and delivered my speech so gracefully. Chloe, thank you for everything you do for me and for the love and support you give to this wild career of mine. I’m so lucky to have you ❤️

As proud as I am of this moment, it doesn’t make me want to slow down.

It makes me want to keep growing.
Keep improving.
Keep innovating.
And keep giving every couple the very best of me, every single time I pick up the microphone.

Back at the award winning Growwild Wildflower Farm, and I could not be more excited to be celebrating Gabrielle and Jono in one of my favourite places on earth. Stunning natural backdrop, incredible energy, and a night packed with fun, from The Shoe Game to some line dancing that is definitely going to get this crowd moving.

These two go way back, meeting as teenagers while working together at Jono’s family store, where friendship, laughter, and a few well timed shifts slowly turned into something more. After years of knowing each other, and Jono putting in some serious effort to lock in that first date, it finally clicked and the rest is history.

Thirteen years on, with their black lab Bear by their side and a beautiful mix of Aussie and Mauritian heritage woven into their story, these two have built something truly special.

So good to be back here doing what I love, celebrating a love story that has been years in the making. Let’s make it a night to remember. 🥂✨

Western Sydney, this is going to be a beautiful Sunday afternoon! 🎤☀️

I’m excited to be hosting Vibes by the Lake on behalf of Blacktown City Council and SWR 99.9 FM this Sunday 3 May at Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside.

It’s a free, family-friendly day out from 12 pm to 5 pm with live music, food, great company, and plenty of relaxed vibes by the lake.
