From humble beginnings as a high school competitive public speaker to Cruise Director for Princess Cruises, Nathan's award-winning entertainment career has taken him all over Australia and the world. When he is not taking to the limelight, Nathan can often be found working behind the scenes in Sydney at as a professional Stage Manager or Event Manager – there’s just something about events and entertainment he can’t get enough of! Nathan is the recipient of multiple industry awards, including the Winner of the Wedding Industry Awards Best Wedding MC (Western Sydney) for 2022, the Easy Wedding’s 5-Star Award for Customer Excellence 2021 & 2022, and a Princess Cruises’ Moments That Matter Award for Outstanding Customer Service. Nathan has always aspired to a career onstage ever since his high school years as an accomplished public speaker and debater, including state and national competitions and awards. That soon turned into Assistant Cruise Director for Princess Cruises (2015) and then Fleet Supervisor, Entertainment Experience (2018), putting his unique brand of entertainment in front of audiences all around the world. I don’t think I’ll ever forget last night.

At the ABIA Weddings Australia Awards at Crown Sydney, I was named WINNERof the 2025 Master of Ceremonies category 🏆 with a record-breaking score of 99.99%.

I also shared the win with Frank MC 👏 Congratulations, Frank, it was a privilege to stand up there with you.

For years, I’ve worked towards this. 3rd Place. Runner-up. Runner-up. And now, finally, the words I’d been waiting for: “And the winner is… Nathan Cassar.”

When I MC’d my brother’s wedding in April 2021, fresh off my years working at sea, I couldn’t have imagined it would change the course of my life. Four years later, nearly 200 weddings later, to be standing on that stage with this plaque in my hands… I had to take a moment just to breathe it in.

This award isn’t about me. It’s about trust. Every couple who gave me the honour of being part of their wedding, who left a review, who cast a vote, this win belongs to you 🙏 From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

To my beautiful partner, Chloe ❤️, who has stood by me every step. To my parents, Nancy and Sam. To my peers in this amazing industry who cheered so loudly last night that it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

It’s finally here! Tonight I’m heading to the ABIA Weddings Australia as a finalist for the fourth year in a row. That still feels wild to say. 😅

I was back on the mic last Sunday for the 2025 NSW Half Marathon Championships at Sydney Olympic Park, thanks to Athletics NSW and Run NSW.

It was a great morning co-hosting alongside Matt Harris, who brings real energy to the role and makes sharing the mic feel effortless.

Big thanks to MC Sean Murphy for recommending me, who was originally set to host the event before being called to Japan for work last minute. Really appreciated the trust 🙏

Shoutout to the team at Skywalker Creative for handling the audio, LED Finisher Wall and timing with their usual attention to detail!

And of course, thank you to the volunteers. You’re the ones who keep events like this moving.

Last night I met my co-presenter Larry Emdur, someone I have admired on Australian TV for years, as we launched 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗱𝘀 at Bankstown Sports. Larry was incredible, bringing all his trademark stage presence even after a huge filming day and an early start.

I am thrilled to share that I will be taking over as host from September 30, every Tuesday night from 7 to 9 pm (except October 14 and November 11 when Larry returns). Hosting TV game shows for a living has always been a dream of mine, and this feels like one step closer to that goal. My younger Cruise Director self would be very proud right now.

Massive thanks to the Bankstown Sports team for asking me to be part of this. If you are nearby, come down on a Tuesday night from September 30. I promise plenty of laughs, big game show energy, and maybe even a prize with your name on it. 😉

Since moving into the Parramatta and Cumberland area in 2022, I’ve tried to give back wherever I can.

Today, I was incredibly honoured to be nominated for the 2025 NSW Volunteer of the Year – Central Sydney, for my work with Alive 90.5 FM as Tuesday Breakfast Host and my tenure as Program Committee Chair and on the Board.

Big thanks to Andsley Dennis for the nomination and to the Alive team for the chance to be part of something meaningful.

Volunteering has never been about recognition, but being acknowledged for serving the community I love is something I’ll carry with pride. To all the volunteers out there, your time, passion, and commitment matter more than you know. 🙏

Some nights are unforgettable. This one was undeniable.

I recently had the immense honour of returning as Master of Ceremonies for the Water Is Life Gala 2025, hosted by the at the iconic Hyde Park.

This wasn’t just a beautiful night. It was a powerful one. We gathered in support of a mission that matters: to bring clean water to communities in Kenya who need it most.

And the result? Over $300,000 raised to fund three brand new water systems in the Mbita region, bringing life-changing access to over 3,000 people.

It was an evening charged with soul, talent, and truth. Uncle Bubbly opened our hearts with Welcome to Country. Sophia Ndaba brought movement and meaning through dance. Nya gave voice to what can’t be ignored. Ken Owiti and Allan Oginga reminded us why this mission exists in the first place.

And, finally, Janice Selim, No Taps CEO and the visionary behind it all, grounded the room with a message that will stay with us for a long time.

To every guest, donor, artist, and team member, you didn’t just attend. You showed up, you gave, and you made this possible.

And to Janice and the No Taps team, thank you for inviting me to return and help tell this story. I’ll never forget it. 🙏

At first glance, this is just a funny photo of my parents making me laugh. But the truth is, this picture captures everything my Dad has worked for his whole life.

My dad, Sam, is an engineer and salesman. I didn’t inherit his mathematical side, but I definitely inherited his humour (though I’ll argue I’ve improved upon it 😅). More importantly, I inherited the love and stability he built alongside my mum, Nancy.

That’s his real legacy: not just working hard to provide for me and my brother Aaron, but building a marriage and family full of laughter, love, and joy. Watching the way he has loved Mum all these years has given me the role model I needed for the kind of life and relationship I want to create one day.

From my cruise ship adventures to the uncertainty of COVID, and now to building my MC business, Dad has been the constant - the cheerleader, the rock, and the reason moments like this photo are even possible.

Taken by the amazing William James Studio at Maria & Luke’s wedding, this shot is more than a laugh. It’s a legacy.

Happy Father’s Day, Dad. Thank you for everything you’ve given me and for showing me, through your love for Mum, what family really means. ❤️
