Vale Arthur Coghlan OAM
Australia's own, Arthur Coghlan has died.

For those who are not aware of Arthur, he is the father of
Helen Coghlan, seen on Penn and Teller Fool Us and legend in his own right.

There is a youtube link of a story done by the ABC in Australia based on him.
I had the honour of meeting him at the Gold Coast Magic Convention and he was amazing and a lovely man to ever met.

"It is with much sadness that I share the news that Dad passed away yesterday, surrounded by his closest family, after a very short illness. Just last week, we celebrated his 93rd birthday and, earlier this year, we marked another incredible milestone-the 70th wedding anniversary of Mum and Dad.
Dad touched so many lives and led an incredible life. He was a consummate performer, leaving audiences, including some of the world's best magicians, mystified by his feats of magic and escapology. But beyond his talents, he was also a mentor, an inspiration, and, above all, a family man.
In 2021, he was honoured with an OAM (Order of Australia Medal) for his contributions to the entertainment industry-a recognition he was deeply
humbled by.
Dad's wit and love for practical jokes kept us all amused and I'm happy to say that his sense of humour lives on in the generations that follow.
His remarkable life and achievements were celebrated in an episode of Australian Story a few years ago. If you haven't seen it, I encourage you to take the time to watch this 30-minute program. You won't regret it.

The Magic Inn extends its deepest condolences on the passing of the incredible Simon Fisher-Becker.

Simon was one of our esteemed lecturers for the MIC during the COVID period, and his wisdom and passion left a lasting impact. He will be greatly missed.
