For this unique celebration, we transformed the grand hall of Sydney Grammar School into a luxurious monochromatic dream. Flowing velvet draped across the ceremony, oversized bows tied with romance, and an abundance of scarlet florals… Hydrangeas, gerberas, anthuriums, gymea lilies—layered with the richness of black grapes and pomegranates. Hello! I am Xenia, and today I want to share with you how I came to EBON Floral Design Studio. 🖤

My journey into floral design and wedding styling began with a deep love for creativity and a fascination with how design can shape meaningful experiences. Coming from a background in design and hospitality, I’ve always been drawn to the art of storytelling—whether through visual elements, curated details, or the atmosphere of a space.

When I discovered floral design, it felt like the perfect blend of everything I love. There’s something magical about working with nature’s beauty to create something entirely new and transformative. Wedding styling, for me, is an extension of that artistry—layering textures, colors, and elements to create moments that feel both intentional and timeless.

This work is more than a profession; it’s a passion. Being part of such a personal and joyful celebration is a privilege I treasure, and I pour my heart into every detail to ensure it’s as special as the love it celebrates.

We have been doing some deep searching, and in the midst of this, have decided to get back to what we love the most: intentional, mindful, inspired floral design and styling, with a unique edge.

I’d like to take a moment to reflect on this year. This monumentally, and excessively, stubbornly difficult year. You may not have seen me here much, and I am truly sorry. My year began with a complete upheaval of my life, separation and single motherhood ensuing. Following this, I had to place my beloved floral business on hold, and work for another wedding supplier, which eventually burnt me out to the point of complete meltdown. But, nevertheless, here I stand, shaken like a martini 🍸but alive. I am taking the following few weeks to recoup my health and begin 2025 on a wonderful and positive note. I’m looking forward to taking all of your wonderful wedding enquiries once more, and most of all, looking forward to making mindful floral art again.
