EMILY + NICK

It all started in NYC with an East Village crew, an afterparty at Nick’s apartment… and an iconic jacket covered in plush animal toys.

What began as one very good night quickly turned into something undeniable. Emily says Nick made her feel completely seen from the moment they met - and that feeling has never left.

Since then, they’ve built a love grounded in friendship, adventure and always showing up for each other. From hardcore gigs and Burning Man to Finland winters and Iceland eclipses, these two have become each other’s favourite person in every room, every country and every moment.

So it only made sense to celebrate with a full blown LOVE FEST EXTRAVAGANZA at Taronga Zoo Sydney surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

With friends and family flying in from NYC and all over the world, one party simply wasn’t enough. There was a pre-party, the wedding itself and a post-party too all organised by the one and only

And as you can probably tell from the photos… this was not a subtle affair. Bright colours, bold outfits, joyful chaos and a celebration of love packed with people who adore these two almost as much as they adore each other.

Emily and Nick had these words to say -

“Where do I start in recounting the absolute JOY of having Sarah as your celebrant!? Her energy is so positive, her preparation is comprehensive and we couldn’t imagine our wedding without her. Sarah was such a delight to work with running site visits and prepping all our wedding party so the ceremony ran smoothly. She’s also just a blast to hang out with which made all our pre wedding planning that much more fun. 10/10 would HIGHLY Recommend for your ceremony!!!”

I’m speechless and have all the warm fuzzies.
Thank you for having me x

7 YEARS

And somehow… I still haven’t gotten the itch to change paths and I’ve realised this is officially the longest relationship or job I’ve ever committed to.

7 years of weddings..

Intro calls.
Meetings.
Voice notes.
Vow edits.
Timelines.
Family dynamics.
Pep talks.
And then the grand finale - A FU***NG WEDDING.

And honestly? The joy of it still hasn’t worn off.

I’m not married myself (still undecided if it’s for me 😉), but I absolutely bloody love marrying other people.

After 7 years, here are my 7 favourite moments:

1. Seeing Partner A before the ceremony.
Usually smiling with teeth and pretending they’re completely chill. Then the second we step aside to sign paperwork, I get the honest version of how they’re feeling. I always remind them they look hot, smell great and literally just have to stand there and look pretty.

2. Checking in with parents and family members.
I always want them to feel seen too. There are usually nerves, hugs and at least one person trying not to cry before we even begin.

3. The vendors.
Let’s be honest, weddings are also a reunion for wedding people. The excitement I feel when I realise I’m working with vendors I adore again is unmatched.

4. Watching the face waiting at the aisle more than the person walking down it.
The pride, nerves, joy and complete disbelief all happening at once gets me every single time.

5. The vows.
I’m the only person who knows what’s about to happen and hearing people properly declare their love out loud will never become normal to me.

6. The chaos and relief right after the ceremony.
The hugs. The “WE DID IT.” The giant exhale before everyone heads off to celebrate.

7. Sitting in my car afterwards debriefing to myself - or calling my sister Kate - saying:
“That’s honestly the best wedding I’ve ever done.”

To which she always replies:
“You say that after every wedding.”

And she’s right.

Because somehow, after 7 years, I still end every wedding feeling ridiculously lucky that this is what I get to do.

🩷 Thank you to every single couple who has trusted me with their love story. I’m so grateful x

CHLOE + KAU

OH MY GOODNESS!! 💥 I have just come down from the high of marrying these two drop-dead gorgeous, kind humans.
Chloe and Kau were married in front of their nearest and dearest on one of the wettest Sundays I’ve seen in a while. Ceremony spaces had to change, vendors had to adapt, and sure, it wasn’t exactly Plan A.

But the second Chloe clocked Kau and his beaming smile at the end of the aisle, all anyone could think was, what rain?!

The look of admiration, respect, love and pure excitement between these two was completely contagious, and I had the absolute privilege of marrying a fellow celebrant and now dear friend.

There were giggles galore throughout the ceremony, heartfelt vows that could make anyone swoon, and the ultimate cherry on top - their son Kian officially announcing them married and telling them they could kiss!! AWWWWW

A very special one indeed x

The day would not have been as electric and amazing if it weren’t for these AMAZING AND TALENTED vendors 🩷

I ASKED CHAT GPT…

to give me a list of words that most describe me from the internet.
And here they are!

Now.. personally I would also add-
slightly mad
beauty obsessed
hopeless romantic
direct yet kind
and the eternal optimist 🩷

If you think we would make a great celebrant / couple match-
I’d love to hear from you!

CHELSEA + OLEK

It all started at Belluci’s in Manuka.
Not exactly a textbook love story beginning, but then again, neither are these two.

Until timing shifted and so did they.

What followed was a little bit of cheek, a little bit of chaos 💥

Somewhere in between-
cling-wrapped cars, vodka sodas, bad outfits meeting the parents, and a love that just worked!

And from that point on, it was easy.
The kind of easy that doesn’t need forcing, overthinking, or rules.

Because sometimes you don’t meet your person in the “perfect” way- but when it’s right, you just know.

From Belluci’s… to forever ♥️

WHAT FUN THIS WEDDING WAS! So much joy, happiness and fun. And clearly it was visually BEAUTIFUL AF.

was the talented photographer who took these amazing pics and .amore___ led the creative visual delight you see!

🩷 All vendors tagged. They were all so bloody brilliant!

Thanks for having me Chelsea and Olek x

THINGS I SAY TO EVERY COUPLE

There’s no right or wrong way to do your wedding. Just your way.
After the 3 minutes of legal wording that’s required to get you hitched-
the rest is choose your own adventure!
And this ceremony and reception… was a very good adventure 🩷

MILLA + JARROD

OH EM GEE. This is a wedding I feel like I’m constantly referring to. The structure, the goal, the flowers, the content- the photos! All of it!

I married Milla and Jarrod last year in what was the perfectly executed day by .
Milla and Jarrod as people are so aligned, each others biggest cheerleader and yes, that sparkly and fabulous IRL.

They met via a cheeky slide from Jarrod into Millas Insta DM’s and once they started chatting they realised they had grown up literal streets away from each other and shared a mutual family friend. It was like they met each other when they were destined to.

Some fave reflections of mine from M + J day:

1. The ceremony flowers. Simple, classic and will forever been in style. I am forever fan girling over work!

2. Going from start of ceremony to finish in one go and leaving in a getaway car!! (Even if for just the pics!)

3. 35mm film. Love work in these pics. I always gravitate towards those photos when I get albums back.

Thank you for having me at your love fest celebration Milla and Jarrod. I loved every second! X

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CELEBRANT

1. ASK AROUND!
If you’re getting married- there is a big chance your mates have been to weddings themselves. Nothing beats real life amazing word of mouth advice.

2. SOCIALS STALK
Go on a deep dive on socials and see what you find. Save anyone that resonates with you. Do they make your heart sing or cringe? Number of followers does not always mean popularity. Look through their highlights and feed and see if their vibe matches yours.

3. REVIEWS
This can be from google reviews or a review the couple has provided their celebrant. If a couple has gone out of their way to write a review- you better believe they meant every word of it!

4. HAVE A QUICK VIBE CHECK
Most celebrants will offer a 15 min online chat to get to know their couples. It is JUST as important for a celebrant to vibe you- as much as you them! It’s a mutual interview! This person will MARRY you and your partner- it’s so important to choose someone you would be friends with or respect IRL!

5. BUDGET
I’ve snuck this one in at the end to start a conversation! As a celebrant, I think that our part in the celebration is one of the most IMPORTANT roles of your wedding day. A great ceremony SETS THE VIBE AND ENERGY for the rest of the evening. In saying that- all celebrants charge a range of amounts. Price, is something I think you can’t compromise on.
Before you lock in your celebrant, ask yourself this - are you choosing based on price alone?
If they’re inexpensive, why is that? Is it experience? Is it demand? Is it location?
Because your ceremony sets the tone for the entire day.
Do you want it to begin with an “OMG that was AMAZING” or an “OMFG… what the F just happened?”

At the end of the day you have to go with your gut and who feels right for you! So good luck!

Feel free to comment below how you found your celebrant or any challenges you faced! For my besties who HAD to have me as their celebrant- lucky you! 😂

Thank you to the one and only for taking a delightful pic of me. You are the best x

SURPRISE + DELIGHT

(The only words I could describe A + E’s wedding!)

From start to finish, each little detail was meticulously chosen and executed.
A + E chose the to host their ceremony and reception. We began the evening with the beautiful voice and sound of as everyone entered and took their seat.
Everyone was dressed beautifully- but no more beautiful than A + E.
After their ceremony everyone took their seats once more for speeches and a show by Drag King and Burlesque performer (scroll to the last pic to see the joy I had, being witness to such a show!)

On my way back home, when all was said and done -I felt like my cheeks hurt from smiling.
Not only was their wedding a visual delight and a one of a kind experience-but it was also a reminder that a wedding, a ceremony and an expression of love between two people - can be whatever you want it to be. There are no rules.

Thank you for having me A + E, I will treasure being part of your wedding forever! ♥️

Thank you for your kind words too x

“We are deeply grateful to have had Sarah as part of our wedding.

She is a generous, warm, thoughtful, and funny person who rapidly feels like an old friend. From initial conversations, to the day of the ceremony, through to months down the track, Sarah continues to be someone who radiates joy.

Sarah took the time to really understand what we wanted from our ceremony, and worked hard to craft a celebration that was true to our identities. We couldn’t recommend her more, you’ll be so happy you selected a poised professional with quick wit and a calm presence.

Strongly recommended for LGBTQIA+ couples.”
