The Sydney Royal Easter Show is Australia’s largest annual event, attracting close to 900,000 people each year. It is a celebration of Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. Each year the country and city join together to enjoy agricultural competitions, animal experiences, entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and muc

h more. The Show was first held in 1823 and is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and rewards agricultural excellence. The Sydney Royal Easter Show allows the RAS to continue investing in agricultural programs and supporting rural communities in Australia.

That's it for the CWA Tea Room at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year. We reached 40,000 scones!

Thanks to our coordinator Donna (pictured) and her team of helpers along with many, many volunteers who help the Tea Room run.

Just like that, we wrap up another year of celebrating the country coming to the city! Save the date for next year, the Sydney Royal Easter Show will be back from 2 April - 13 April 2026!

The Show is nearly over, but the Sydney Royal Frog and Reptile Show is still going strong! Established in 2011, it’s now one of the largest frog and reptile competitions in Australia, and a favourite among Show visitors. Non-venomous snakes, lizards, and a variety of frogs are judged on appearance and breed standard, so these are certainly not your average garden-variety lizards.
