TRAVELIN' THUNDER (formerly Sydney Stormtroopers) were established in 2001 in affiliation with the now defunct Melbourne Storm Supporters Club (MSSC) and The Graveyard Banner Crew, who were continuously traveling interstate in the early years of the Storm, making a presence known in Sydney. TRAVELIN' THUNDER are the most dedicated Melbourne Storm supporters group outside of Melbourne and are heavi
ly involved in the game and the club. We often represent the Storm fans and the club at NRL events such as the NRL Season Launch, NRL Final Series Week and the NRL Daily M Awards, and often involved in NRL promotions such as the 'You're The Difference' ad which was filmed at Travelin' Thunder's HQ. We attend most away games throughout the year, whether its city, country, interstate, trial, or REP games like the State of Origin. In 2017 we traveled to both Perth and Adelaide away games. The start of 2015 brought us our first off season get together 'Sydney Stormtrooper Day' and 2016 brought TRAVELIN' THUNDER to new heights throughout the rugby league community with its involvement with all NRL clubs and their Fan Relations Consultants that brought group ticket discounts and other benefits to the game and the supporters. TRAVELIN' THUNDER managed to raise it's social media followers to over 1000 which was a proud achievement. TRAVELIN' THUNDER focus on the quality instead of quantity of Storm supporters, as we want to deliver to the NRL community the best supporters group around.
