Love seeing a sketch ✍️ come to life.

Every one of my beautiful bridal clients receives a personalised selection of custom gown designs to choose from as part of the bespoke bridal process.

It’s so special watching an idea begin with inspiration images, fabrics, conversations and concepts, then transform into a design like this.

An insight in to what a toile looks like, and the important details involved for the perfect fitting 👰.

This is all part of the exclusive Gemma Leakey bespoke design experience.

The toile fitting is the perfect opportunity to nail those finer details and make small tweaks before cutting the shape out in the real fabric.

Personally, I feel they are an integral part and valuable part of the bespoke design process a the first chance to see your beautiful dress develop from a 2d sketch into a 3D gown.
