Is the Sunshine Coast becoming an alternative to Brisbane for corporate events? 🤔💼

For a long time, "corporate event" on the Sunshine Coast meant scaling down expectations: smaller venues, limited AV, fewer catering options than what a CBD hotel could offer.

But that's changed, and a few things are driving companies to book their events on the Coast:

🗺️ Remote and hybrid work changed the calculus. When your team isn't tied to a CBD office five days a week, the venue doesn't need to be either. A conference, planning day, or EOFY function an hour up the coast is no longer a logistical compromise.

🏢 The infrastructure has caught up. Purpose-built venues with proper in-house AV, flexible floor plans, and genuine capacity (not just "cosy" function rooms) now exist outside Brisbane.

💰 Cost comparisons are starting to favour the Coast. Venue hire, catering, and accommodation packages can come in significantly lower than equivalent CBD options, without guests feeling like they've settled for less.

🏖️ And there's a guest experience angle Brisbane can't easily replicate. A waterfront setting and a change of scenery that gives a reason for the day to feel like more than just another event.

None of this means the Coast is replacing Brisbane for every corporate need. But for planning days, conferences, EOFY functions, and team celebrations, it's no longer a fallback option; instead, a real choice for SEQ businesses.

3,307 push-ups for mental health 💪🧠

Our Business Development Manager, Justin, has officially taken on The Push-Up Challenge! Over 24 days, he is smashing out 3,307 push-ups to raise critical funds for Lifeline.

Every single push-up represents a real statistic and a story surrounding mental health awareness in Australia. Some of our other team members, like Tana here, are showing their support by getting stuck into some reps as well.
