…headed to Menorca in Spain April to attend .events ‘Tears in Rain’ event – a 7 day, 14 hours a day, intensive, held on a real life quarantine island named Lazareto, in the Mediterranean Sea alongside fellow artists from across the globe.
Phones/social media were prohibited (the absolute best), a secret program, limited sharing of the whole week with the outside world and beautiful experiences only held in our memories. If I was going to join a cult, this one would be it.
I’ve heard it said that every creative has a moment that sets the bar. I think maybe this was one of those moments for me. It was confronting, powerful, heartbreaking and also soul nurturing… sometimes simultaneously.
The experience was totally unique in all ways. In its structure, its location, its ethos - in every detail, every planned minute, and also in every moment they designed to unfold however it needed to.
There was music, blue skies and rain, tears, laughter, fire, wine, amazing life models and mentors, bone pits, historic buildings, ruins, art in every form and in every movement, and connections made from across the world.
This is your sign to say yes to things that simultaneously scare and excite you - join the cult, apply for Quarantine, you won't be disappointed.
