I never thought that watching a group of gorgeous grandmas dancing together on stage would affect me like this.
They were dressed up beautifully, smiling so big like it was the best day ever, just moving their bodies without perfect choreography or any care for what anyone thought.
And that’s when it hit me and I got misty-eyed in public 🥹
They were me. I was watching my future self.
Dancing has been one of my greatest loves since forever, but arthritis in my knees has made it painful, so I started making all these excuses to protect myself from the hurt and the grief I feel when I try to dance like my former self but my body won’t let me. I’m grateful it’s feeling a bit better since starting HRT and keeping up with strengthening exercises.
So watching these dancers was a reminder that I’m the only one in my own way.
You don’t have to jump around like you’re 20. Just dance like you. They’re not giving up. They’re LIVING. So am I.
Get out there and dance (or whatever lights you up). Life’s too short!!💃❤️

And you?

I’d love to have a squizz at your cosmic-country-chart! …please spill it all in the comments 🤩
Hint: you get to be playful and choose whatever feels good for you 😉

Also, I know Bali isn’t a country but it’s straight-up astro-exceptional so it gets a pass 💫

Last night we went to a little acoustic community night to support Mirabai’s best friend Kiki singing (shoutout to her beautiful mama and family for raising such a special human 🤍). Also shoutout to , one of the girls’ greatest inspirations, whose song they performed together.

Completely unplanned, the girls saw there was one empty spot left on the blackboard…and decided to get up together.

So on the eve of Mother’s Day, I unexpectedly got to watch the person who made me a mother under bright lights, singing her heart out.

No big production. No perfection. Just two girls, a house piano, nerves, courage, friendship, music, and something real.

Watching kids grow is wild.
You spend years exhausted beyond words, questioning yourself constantly, trying to guide these little souls while they simultaneously become your greatest teachers.

And then suddenly they’re almost 12.
Finding their voice.
Becoming who they already were all along.

I never used to think motherhood was for me. Now I genuinely can’t imagine my life without it.

Also…in a world that feels increasingly disconnected, I’m so grateful little community nights like this still exist.
Places where music, creativity and human connection are still alive.

Anyway. Proud mum post.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Still riding the high from that Sunday sesh that was Planet of the Breaks✨

Caught sets from legends and …and wow. That kind of skill that just locks you in and doesn’t let go.

Didn’t take many videos or photos because I was too busy being in it, but sharing some of the moments that were caught along the way. Fully in my own world at one point and loving it.

The crowd made it though… so many smiles from such open and friendly peeps. Felt like being surrounded by crew who grew up on the same sounds. Proper nostalgia… breaks, vinyl, that era that’s got soul and just hits different. And the amount of robot moves on the d-floor truly made my day! 🤖👏❤️

Really beautiful energy all round. Grateful to everyone who brought it to life 🫶
