Last night we went to a little acoustic community night to support Mirabai’s best friend Kiki singing (shoutout to her beautiful mama and family for raising such a special human 🤍). Also shoutout to , one of the girls’ greatest inspirations, whose song they performed together.
Completely unplanned, the girls saw there was one empty spot left on the blackboard…and decided to get up together.
So on the eve of Mother’s Day, I unexpectedly got to watch the person who made me a mother under bright lights, singing her heart out.
No big production. No perfection. Just two girls, a house piano, nerves, courage, friendship, music, and something real.
Watching kids grow is wild.
You spend years exhausted beyond words, questioning yourself constantly, trying to guide these little souls while they simultaneously become your greatest teachers.
And then suddenly they’re almost 12.
Finding their voice.
Becoming who they already were all along.
I never used to think motherhood was for me. Now I genuinely can’t imagine my life without it.
Also…in a world that feels increasingly disconnected, I’m so grateful little community nights like this still exist.
Places where music, creativity and human connection are still alive.
Anyway. Proud mum post.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
