Jarryd + Sam. Firstly, Happy 1 year Anniversary guys. ♡

When your daughter’s bestie says, “Would you come down to Busselton and be our celebrant?” you bet I said, “Hell yes!”
And the magic did not stop there. The weather turned on its absolute best and the venue… my giddy aunt… pure rural/lakeside perfection. It was spectacular.
Sam and Jarryd are the kind of couple who live life at full volume. Joyful, busy, bold and overflowing with love. Their wedding was exactly that reflection. Sunshine, laughter, and delightfully quirky touches everywhere you turned.

🎉 10 Years of Love, Laughter & Legally Binding Vows! 💍
This day marks 10 years since I said “I do” to being a marriage celebrant—and what a joyful, wild, love-filled ride it’s been! ❤️
Over the past decade, I’ve had the absolute honour of authorising 155 marriages (and yes, I still get teary at the vows!), along with a handful of beautiful baby naming ceremonies and heartfelt farewells at funerals. From surprise alpacas at the altar 🦙 to brides who forgot the flowers (you know who you are 😄), every ceremony has been unique, meaningful, and unforgettable.
To the wonderful couples who trusted me with your most precious moments, thank you. To the fellow vendors I’ve worked alongside (and danced with behind the scenes), you make the magic happen. And to the love stories I’ve been lucky enough to witness, keep them coming. I never tire of hearing how you met, who made the first move, or how you unintentionally sabotaged the proposal.
Here’s to 10 years of making it official, and many more to come! 💕

💍 To all the naysayers who think marriage is outdated… think again!

The 2024 marriage stats are in, and love is clearly alive and thriving. Marriages across Australia jumped by over 2% from 2023 to 2024, with a whopping 120,844 couples saying “I do.”

Here in WA, we were right up there with the second biggest increase (just behind Victoria), with 13,366 weddings. That’s 1.9% more loved-up couples tying the knot!

📅 The most popular date? 24.02.24, with 1,773 weddings across the country on that single day.

And for those who love a random stat (you know who you are): the average groom is 32.8 years, and the average bride is 31.2 years.

So, do what you like with this info, but one thing’s for sure: I’m overjoyed to see the beautiful tradition of marriage still valued and standing strong. Love is definitely not going out of style anytime soon. ❤️

Jacob + Siquoia. An incredible love story that proves distance is no match for true connection. What began over a shared love of Blueberry Beer between a Canadian boy and an Aussie girl blossomed into something truly special. I have been looking forward to this day for so long, and it was an absolute joy to unite them in marriage. Their love is infectious,  and it's impossible not to get swept up in their story. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness,  whether their journey takes them to Canada,  Australia, or anywhere in between. 🌏🇦🇺🇨🇦💍💖
