It was 28 years ago when we last provided a Balloon Drop for when the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital, Good Friday Appeal announced their donation total.
When they decided to reinstate the fun-filled effect we were excited to be asked to provide the installation.
After, celebrities were asked to join the ‘call centre’ volunteers on the stage for when they announced the final total and Rob Mills and Michael Taylor sang ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’
As expected everyone had fun playing with the balloons.

For the past eleven years ABC TV has presented an amusing look at current affairs via their show The Weekly with Charlie Pickering.

The Federation University wanted a show stopping special effect to anchor the moment their alumni graduated. It needed to be something that involved everyone.
We knew a single Balloon Drop just wouldn’t be enough so we gave them nine. Each net filled with 120 various size balloons was positioned around the auditorium above the students.

Their cheers as the nets spilt the balloons is indication of how much they loved the effect

The Apple and Pear Australia Limited (APAL) set up a promotion stand on the St Kilda Beach where they invited everyone to compare apples with apples.
They had Granny Smith, Bravo, Pink Lady, Envy,, Royal Gala and Kanzi. You could try them with a variety of toppings like Almond Butter, Honey, Cheese, Dark Chocolate, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon.
