🌸 Flower update🌸

Coming into the winter months we’ll no longer have grab n gos available. These are an affordable offering just for our locals during times of floral abundance, but don’t worry, they will be back once all of our spring flowers start blooming in a few months time.

For now, we will be prioritising our full priced bouquets that must be pre ordered. Please check the website or call ahead for availability.

A little history of what is now Petal Head Farm & Florist 🌸

Stumm Residence

Located on Stumm Road, this was the home of Jacob Stumm and is now the home of local florist, Petal Head!

Jacob was the editor at the Gympie Times and from 1880 until his death in 1921, he was a part owner. He also served as the Member for Gympie in the Queensland Legislative Assembly and later as the first Member for Lilley in the Queensland House of Representatives.

By 1940, the rear section seen in the photo had been removed.

I love Chysanthemum season- so much variation in colour and form. There are still hundreds of stems out there that aren’t quite ready yet!

We’re keeping it simple- 2 options for the bouquet and a selection of gifts.

Heirloom Chrysanthemums grown by us, harvested by us and arranged by us with a whole lotta love.

I’ve been pondering this for a little while and with the current state of our living situations, I’ve decided it’s time to pivot and offer a stripped back wedding offering.

An offering that ultimately offers the “essentials only”. An offering that eliminates the cost of multiple consultations, delivery fee’s, install fee’s and late night/early morning pack down fee’s. An offering that eliminates minimum spends.

The premise? We do the florals, you pick up and do the rest!

For now, we have selected ceremony & reception items that are simple to transport and install. We may add to this offering, however when you start getting into ground meadows etc. the install and transportation can get a bit more convoluted, so we’re keeping it simple for now.
