RIVERLINKS employees who are residents or customers of RIVERLINKS services are not precluded from participating in community debate about an issue that affects them, however they must make it clear that they are commenting as a resident/customer not as a RIVERLINKS employee.

While RIVERLINKS monitors and moderates content posted on its social platforms, we only respond to comments and private messages during standard business hours (8:15am to 5:00pm), therefore responses to online requests for information may take more than one business day.

Comments may be deleted as determined by RIVERLINKS’s absolute discretion if they contain:

• violent, obscene, profane, hateful, derogatory, racist or sexist language, links or images;

• information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or RIVERLINKS personnel;

• any discussion or promotion of behaviour that is unlawful;

• comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation;

• solicitations, advertisements, endorsements or spam;

• off-topic comments by a single user;

• repetitive comments copied and pasted or duplicated by single or multiple users;

• any other inappropriate content or comments as determined by RIVERLINKS.

RIVERLINKS also notes that Facebook has its own policy in relation to use of pages and posting on the site, and expects users of this site to abide by Facebook’s policies for use of Facebook generally. RIVERLINKS does not endorse any threads or comments placed on this site and will remove any comments which do not comply with these policies.

People who repeatedly breach these guidelines will be blocked. If the breach is considered to be serious, RIVERLINKS may choose to block users immediately.
