Some awards will always mean a little more.

The ALIBI Awards were the first awards For Keeps was ever named a finalist in. A year later, they became the first awards we ever won.
Since then, we’ve been sponsors, we’ve celebrated other incredible women in business, and we’ve been fortunate enough to bring home three ALIBI trophies of our own.
So being named a finalist again this year, in three categories, feels incredibly special

First Nations Business Lady of the Year
This is the award I was incredibly proud to win last year.
For Keeps was founded by my mum, an Aboriginal woman and small business owner, in 1992. The same year the High Court handed down the Mabo decision.
More than three decades later, to be recognised for continuing and growing what she started carries a significance that is difficult to put into words.

Aspiring Leader of the Year
This one feels like a testament to growth.
I have changed enormously since first becoming part of the ALIBI community. As a business owner, as a leader, and in the confidence I have to step forward, use my voice and take responsibility for where For Keeps goes next.
To have that growth recognised by a community that has witnessed part of it means a great deal.

ALIBI Business Lady of the Year
And then there is this one.
To be a finalist for the highest honour within the ALIBI community is incredibly humbling.

For Keeps started as my mum's idea in 1992. Today I have the privilege and responsibility of carrying that business forward, protecting what she built while continuing to make it stronger.
To have that work recognised at this level is something I am very proud of.
There have been some extraordinary awards and opportunities since our first ALIBI finalist announcement, but you never forget the people who recognised you before any of that happened.
Thank you, ALIBI.

And congratulations to every woman named as a finalist this year. I know how much that first finalist announcement can mean.

Getting started with wedding flower preservation is simpler than you might think.
If you’re planning to preserve your bouquet, you don’t need to have every detail figured out before you enquire. That’s what we’re here to help with.
Simply send us your wedding date and location. We’ll check availability, have a quick call to talk through your flowers and what you’d love to create, then guide you through securing your preservation.
From there, we’ll make sure you know exactly how to care for your bouquet and how to get it safely to us after your wedding.
One less thing to figure out on your own. 🤍

Most people think flower preservation is simply drying flowers.

The reality is that every flower has a different cell structure, moisture content and preservation requirement. That's why, for 35 years, our family has been refining the science and artistry of flower preservation.

From documenting your bouquet and analysing each bloom, through to colour enhancement, fumigation and bespoke design, every step is carefully considered to create an heirloom artwork that will tell your story for generations.
Because your flowers are more than flowers.

They are the flowers you carried down the aisle, held during your vows and photographed on one of the most important days of your life.
And moments that meaningful deserve more than a dusty cupboard or a bin.

When this bride saw her finished preserved bouquet display, she called it her dream. She came to us as brides frequently do, panicking that it was too late to preserve her flowers. The team knew exactly what to do. We started our work. We meticulously preserved each flower, we spent an hour in consultation with the bride to ensure her frame was exactly what she wanted. And then our team worked countless further hours to make that dream a reality.

And now that dream is on her wall forever, along with gorgeous photographs from her wedding day.

Can you imagine your dream sitting on a wall? DM us to create yours!

Your bouquet doesn’t have to become just one thing.

The same flowers can be preserved in completely different ways, depending on how you want to remember them.

Recreated in three dimensions. Pressed into botanical art. Displayed beneath glass. Built into a piece you can actually use.

These are six of our favourite transformations, each designed around the flowers, the story behind them and the way their owner wanted them to live on.

Because preserving your wedding flowers isn’t simply about keeping them.
It’s about deciding what you want them to become.

Which would you choose?

Most wedding gifts are opened once.
Then they become part of the background.
But every now and then, a gift becomes part of a family's story.

A preserved wedding bouquet isn't just something beautiful to display. It's a daily reminder of the promises they made, the flowers they held, and the beginning of their life together.

Whether it's a small keepsake, their entire bouquet, or a gift from family and friends together, you're not just giving them something for their wedding day.
You're giving them something they'll still treasure on their 10th, 25th, 50th... and hopefully even their 70th wedding anniversary.

Because the most meaningful gifts aren't measured by the day they're given.
They're measured by the memories they continue to bring back.

Gift vouchers are also available if you'd like to let the couple choose the keepsake that's perfect for them.

I got this one wrong.

When a client asked me to recreate his grandparents' wedding bouquet from 1956, I became obsessed with getting every detail right.

The photographs were faded. The bouquet was blurry. The flowers couldn't be identified.
So I researched wedding flowers from the 1950s, studied bouquet styles from the era, had the photographs colourised, and made what I believed was the most informed decision.
Singapore orchids.
When his grandmother unwrapped the gift, she smiled.
Then quietly said,
"They were actually frangipanis."
My heart sank.
I'd spent hours trying to recreate the bouquet she'd carried down the aisle 70 years earlier, and I'd still gotten it wrong.
But then something unexpected happened.
She cried.
Not because we'd perfectly recreated her bouquet.
Not because every flower was botanically accurate.
She cried because her grandson had cared enough to honour the day she married the love of her life.
That commission taught me something I'll never forget.
People don't remember how perfect something was.
They remember how it made them feel.
Sometimes the most meaningful gifts aren't perfect.
They're personal.

Know someone celebrating a milestone anniversary? Save this for when the time is right, or share it with someone who'd treasure a gift like this.
