We are very flexible in our approach as we realise everyone has different requirements and as such we adapt our level of service to suit your needs. After our ini

tial consultation we can determine what it is you require. This can range from “full planning”, where we take care of all aspects of the wedding using your brief as a guide. This may include from arranging venues for the ceremony and reception, transportation and accommodation for bridal group and guests, up to ordering flowers and the cake and organising make-up and hairdressers. On the other hand you may just want some help with only certain aspects of your wedding, which could include a wedding day assistant or a ceremony co-ordinator, who can deal with things such as council permits for garden and beach weddings and the set- up and dismantling of the ceremony venue. Whatever it is you require, for a modest outlay we can make your wedding day planning the enjoyable experience it should be.

I am still in complete shock to share that 1770 Weddings has been named a Finalist in the 2026 Capricorn Coast & Central Queensland Wedding Industry Awards™ in the Event Hire category.

To be completely honest, this came as a total surprise. I don’t spend a lot of time chasing awards or entering competitions. I’m usually far too busy doing what I love!

Knowing that this recognition has come from the wonderful couples I’ve had the privilege of working with makes it even more meaningful. I feel incredibly honoured, humbled and so grateful.

To every couple who has trusted me with your wedding day, hired my décor or allowed me to be a small part of your special moments, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support, kind words and recommendations mean more than you could ever know.

This recognition isn’t just for me. It reflects every amazing couple I’ve worked with, together with the wonderful family, friends and local businesses who continue to support 1770 Weddings.

Okay… I’m just going to say it… I am SO excited about this one 🙌🔥

As the 1770 Festival Coordinator this year, I had the absolute pleasure of choosing a headliner that brings real energy… and these guys tick every box 👇

🎸 SALTY SEASON 🎸

I actually found these boys on TikTok (as you do 😄) and their bio said something along the lines of…
👉 “We play music that gets dads dancing at weddings”

Well… you all know I’m a wedding planner… and honestly, that SOLD me instantly 💃

Then I kept watching… and watching… and I thought — yep, this is exactly the vibe we need.
That raw, old-school Aussie energy… a bit of that AC/DC-style feel… the kind of music that just makes you want to move 🎶🔥

My very first wedding for 2026… and what a truly special one it was 🤍

Terry & Mel began their journey with me 18 months ago. As a destination couple with special family ties to 1770, this place already held so much meaning for them 🌊

From the very beginning, Mel had a clear vision, romantic, elegant, and inspired by a Bridgerton style setting, filled with soft florals and timeless details 🤍
Together, we brought that vision to life through a customised experience, combining planning, styling, hire, florals, stationery design, and on the day coordination ✨

Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from their “Written in the Stars” stationery suite 💫 to the ceremony and reception styling, creating something that felt completely personal to them.

As the day approached, the weather had other plans 🌧️
But with preparation, flexibility, and the most incredible local support, Plan B became something truly magical.

What began as an outdoor celebration transformed into an intimate and unforgettable day, a beautiful private ceremony overlooking the water, followed by a stunning marina setting with a perfectly styled cocktail style reception ⚓✨

It honestly felt like it had been designed this way all along.

Terry and Mel, you are such a beautiful couple, warm, relaxed, and full of love. It was an absolute honour to be part of your journey 🫶

Sometimes weddings don’t go exactly to plan… and that’s when the magic of our little village really shines.

The ceremony was originally planned for the 1770 Headland, but the wind and rain had other ideas. Our Plan B was to move to Drift & Wood, but then we noticed a small break in the weather and quickly found a beautiful little spot at Sandcastles Resort with a stunning view toward the bridge.

Within minutes we pulled together a spontaneous pop-up ceremony, and it turned out to be absolutely magical.

A huge thank you to Celebrant Cindy, who is always so flexible, calm and wonderful to work with, and who delivered a beautiful ceremony despite the rainy conditions.

And to the incredibly talented Ash Hughes Photography, who adapted instantly and captured the most amazing moments from this unexpected ceremony.

Thank you also to Sandcastles Resort, Gracie from Drift & Wood, and the lovely locals who paused and gave us a few minutes of space so we could make this ceremony happen.

Moments like this remind me how lucky I am to live and work in such a supportive place.
