It’s about time I reintroduced myself!
Hey everyone, I’m Carla I’m 19, and this is my small business.
I have been face painting since I was 14 and then went on to start my business at 15. My skills have clearly come along way. I still remember being embarrassed at my first few events as I didn’t feel I was good enough yet, but the kids always left with a smile.
Growing up I always had a passion for business. The ideas started as young as 10 when I sold digital drawings of horses on instagram. When I was 11 I started selling slime at school, by 12 I was selling handmade hair accessories to my friends and family. Finally at 14 I got my best idea yet, face painting!!
I loved working with children and being creative so to be able to make a business out of it I was wrapped.
By 15 I started my Cert IV in business, and at 17 started university studying Journalism and Political Science all while painting faces to pay for the crazy amounts of petrol, parking and of course coffeeee. After finishing my degree next year I hope to go on to do a Juris Doctor and potentially become a criminal lawyer, if not a journalist or politician. Although face painting is hopefully something that will stick with me until my hands give way and I cannot paint anymore.
