Got to marry Darren & Nathan a few weeks ago at Loyal Hope Brisbane - it was wonderful.

These two have been together for 21 years after first meeting at a rugby club. Nathan recalls initially thinking that Darren was quite an imposing figure: stoic and not to be messed with. Meanwhile Darren clocked his height and immediately chucked him in a line out - because, why not! It was a dark and cold night and after this first session Nathan wasn’t sure he wanted to return. But he did – and lucky he did because soon he discovered that that behind Darren’s commanding presence lay a man who was confident, kind and completely self deprecating – a balance Nathan didn’t think he would ever find in a lover. He stuck out for all of the right reasons.

They bonded over their love of heavy metal music & over time realised that they had found their person.

Matthew & Shaun had the most stunning wedding at The Warehouse

After meeting over 7 years ago when Shaun slid into Matthew’s DMs, they ended up on an impromptu first date that saw Shaun picking him up in his car when he just “happened to be in the area.”

They both remember how profound that first date was - especially the moment when Shaun nervously reached over and placed his hand on Matthew’s - it was such a small moment, but one neither of them have forgotten.

Oh but it wasn’t all sweetness & romance - we laughed A LOT. I had so much fun sharing their story with their best people.

I’m so lucky I’m so good at this job because I BLOODY LOVE getting dressed up for it.

Don’t get me wrong - there are some days that it really does feel like glamming a bridge troll; but I cannot emphasise what throwing a frock on does for my self confidence.

Two things I can guarantee: your ceremony will never be s**t & I will absolutely own a dress code.

This one at The Warehouse last weekend.

Also: can we hear it again for Matthew Gianoulis (and his talented Mama’s) faux florals?! 😱

Deanna & Eloise were THE MOST fun to marry. These two babes first met on the apps where Eloise could tell by Deanna’s prompt and lengthy responses that she had not used the dating platforms much. So she capitalized on this and asked her on a date ASAP.

She told me, “I remember her profile referenced ‘creative’ and having lived in the USA, so I took her to the most sophisticated bar I knew in Fitzroy and pretended I knew things about chilled Reds. I did not. I was not chilled and got a nervous red rash.”

Little did she know at the time but Deanna did in fact think she was very cool & when Eloise popped some ice cubes in said chilled red, well Deanna thought she was real fancy. It’s a classic QLD Mum move.

I laughed a lot and at the end of the day my face hurt from smiling. BEAT FU***NG JOB EVER.

This time last week I’d just finished marrying these two wonderful souls at the always delightful Loyal Hope Brisbane

Sam & Harry had my favourite kind of wedding: incredibly stylish guests, beautiful attention to detail, vows that had everyone in tears & an epic reception at the very cool Golden Avenue

These two have been together for 8 years after meeting on Tinder. Their first date was a good one - Harry told me, Harry told me, “When we first met for lunch, I remember Sam ordering this big sloppy burger from the restaurant we were at, I naturally ordered a smoothie. Sam sat there and ate this big sloppy burger in front of me with it falling apart everywhere and going all over his face, and I remember thinking I admired his blatant confidence to be such a mess in front of me. It wasn’t grubby or gross, he managed it pretty well. I thought that confidence was endearing.”

Just the most fun to work with. I adore my couples. ♥️

Headed out to the gorgeous Sharla Park - Country Weddings a few weeks back to get Kristin & Damian hitched.

After meeting on the apps, they set up a first date.
Also, we all know what catfishing is right? Well that’s essentially what happened – but not with looks, let’s be real here – she was a babe online and then in real life – no I mean personality wise. Adorably Damian thought she was shy/timid but he soon realised that she is the total opposite and she isn’t to be messed with. He told me, “It’s something about being a Leo or so the countless reels she sends me about star signs tell me.”

Yesterday was the most magical affair at The Warehouse

Darling Chantel & Liam celebrated with their very best people in what can only be a ceremony that had all of the feelings.

These two first met three years ago & after one date they were absolutely hooked. They bonded over their love of chaotic dating advice & post move discussions on Reddit. That first date lasted five hours on a school night!

Team with a theme: it’s one of my skill sets. So you could imagine that when Meg & Scott informed me of their colour palette and then told me to go nuts, I immediately knew what to wear.

As an obsessive op shopper I managed to score this epic Bonita frock at Salvos Stores for an absolute steal.
