🎄 That’s a wrap for 2025! 🎄

Today marks our last hire for the year, and what an incredible 12 months it’s been. From weddings and parties to backyard celebrations, we honestly can’t thank you enough for choosing Gippsland Barrels to be part of your special moments.

We are now officially closed from today until Monday 12th January while we take a short break, recharge, and spend time with family.

Thank you to every single customer who supported our small business this year — your messages, bookings, purchases, photos, and kind words mean more to us than you know.

At Gippsland Barrels, Christmas isn’t just about gifts under a tree — it’s about giving where it truly matters. ❤️

Each year, we proudly support A Better Life for Foster Kids, a local charity providing essentials, comfort, and Christmas joy to children living in care. These are children who won’t wake up with their parents on Christmas morning, but instead will spend the day with the support of incredible foster carers and relatives who step in with love. 💛

This year, like every year, we’ve donated a minimum of $500 worth of gifts — because every child deserves to feel seen, valued and excited on Christmas Day.

And honestly?

Hearing about the impact — the smiles, the joy, the sense of being remembered — makes every minute worth it.

🥸 This year, our co-founder Mel is dedicated to raising awareness for men's mental health. To demonstrate her commitment, she will be walking 60kms in November. 🚶‍♀️
The alarming global rate of su***de, particularly among men, is a pressing concern. Many men struggle in silence, and it's crucial we work together to prevent premature deaths. The statistic of 60 men per hour per day is a stark reminder of the urgency of this issue. ⚠️
Additionally, prostate cancer affects over 1.4M men worldwide each year. Movember is working tirelessly to reduce prostate cancer fatalities, and Mel is eager to contribute to this endeavor.💲

Melanie's Motivation: Globally, the rate of su***de is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence.
