Took these when I first got my new camera just over a year ago.. if you zoom in on, i think the 2nd photo, you can see how hairy this butterfly is.. something most people cant see or even imagine, without macro photography.
I actually have this exact butterfly (as he died the next day) sprayed with clear coat to preserve him, then in a frame.
Macrophotography is one of my favourites, as you see things with the lens, that most people never will, the detail.. that the majority of people will never know
