And then this spectacular event happened! Throwback to this time last week, Moet & Chandon had some new Champagne to share with us, their 2013 Vintage!!!🥂 What a party!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Over 4 nights, this pop up event went off! 🍾

I couldn’t stop smiling, not only because I LOVE champagne 😝 …but because I was at another Event, we were experiencing what events are all about, bringing people together to entertain them, serve amazing food, show people a good time. It’s been such a tough 2 years for the industry and it makes my heart so happy to see it all coming back again!

Still on a high from attending last weeks George Street Long Lunch! To experience an Event again after so long, really reminded me why I love what I do.

Events are back people!!!! 😊

What a day! What an event! 600 people seated for a 3 course delicious lunch prepared from some of the best 👩‍🍳 served in the middle of George Street (Hilton on one side and QVB on the other). Yes they stopped the trams 😝

Gin & Tonics the size of my head flowed all day, beautiful wines, non stop entertainment & confetti canyons!! WOW 🤩

DJ Tom Lowndes, Hot Dub Time Machine got everyone up dancing! He was incredible! 💃 🕺 🙌🏻 🎶

A huge shout out the the hospitality & hotel industries, events and entertainment industries, the travel & tourism industry. To all the people who have done it really really tough over the past 18 months. The farmers, the food markets, all the suppliers to all the weddings, events, restaurants, the lighting and audio visual companies, it’s endless!

All the people who have lost their jobs, had to take money from their super, sold their houses, lost their lives due to su***de over stress, close their businesses, lose their livelihoods. It’s heartbreaking to see everything people have worked so hard for all fall apart 😢

You’ve had it so tough! I don’t think anyone really understands the extent of what it’s been like.

I’ve worked in the hospitality and events industries for 36 years and I am so so proud of everyone! Such strength has been shown. There’s been no protests, we’ve just had to cop it on the chin, suck it up and try to survive and live in hope everyday.

I hope you can keep hanging in a while longer, I hope your local communities, your loyal clients and customers will keep supporting you now and in the future, I hope all the corporate organisations will book many many events and accommodation Australia-wide just as soon as allowed again.

We're all more than ready for a big vacation. Yet with many international borders still closed and some countries facing another Covid-19 wave, much of the world isn't ready for leisure travel just yet. Still, we can dream and plan, can't we?
