I am woman, hear me roar! Just getting my 70s on, and celebrating the joy of being a strong woman in the 2020s. We have come along way since then, believe me. Although sadly, there are still some pathetic souls who will never be comfortable with it. Meh!!, make them unimportant in your lives, my darlings!
Today International Womens Day was celebrated at Northside Veterinary Specialists with a lunch, I was privileged to prepare for them. A strong, intelligent, clever bunch of women ( and men supporting them!) Always a joy. Di ###

OK SASH, this is going to be fun! Tomorrow the Birthday Celebrations are a bit different because its a marathon cook - 2 hours in the kitchen filling those food bowls! Fish Tacos, Pulled Pork Sliders, Banana Fritters ( and yes little ones, there will also be GF & Vg available) See you at 10.30am until the food runs out.

A month in the life of my kitchen.
Someone said to me today, as I delivered a lunch, "Di, I thought you had given up cooking and moved into a retirement home" Very cheeky!
But I then realised that I hadn't posted on the Almighty Facebook for a while, so of course anybody under 30 would have thought that I had faded away! So, I had a chat to FB and said, nothing fancy, I'm just laying it all down to show I'm still alive. Love cooking for the wonderful veterinary peeps. ###

I felt privileged today. I supplied lunch for a lovely, lovely bunch of professional women, the Receptionists monthly meeting at SASH - Small Animal Specialist Hospital ( and one Ophthalmologist who crashed the lunch with his big gorgeous smile!) Their faces and voices are the first connection people have, and often dictate the ongoing relationship your clients have with you.
