✨ The Greatest ✨
On Sunday, I had the privilege of providing the equipment and officiating the Celebration of Life (Funeral) for my father-in-law, Bernie Shelton—Dad.
I have always looked up to Dad. He wasn’t just family; he was a mentor, a role model, and one of my greatest heroes. His strength, kindness, and unwavering values shaped not only his life but the lives of everyone around him.
Being entrusted with this role was an incredible honor, and honestly, it was the greatest gig I have ever had. To stand there and do this for my hero—words can’t describe how much that meant to me. It wasn’t just a job; it was a responsibility that consumed every part of me because this day had to be perfect.
But Sunday was not the end of my hero. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the example he set. Those values—integrity, compassion, and resilience—are now carried forward by his family and friends. Every act of kindness, every moment of strength, every choice to do what’s right… that’s Dad living on through us.
Rest easy, Dad. You will never be forgotten. Your story continues in all of us. ❤️
