After two years, today is the day that I have the honour of officiating my final ceremony, and I say goodbye to Elysian Elopements ๐Ÿค

This job has brought so much joy to my life. I have had the privilege of being apart of so many special celebrations, some for strangers and some for my dearest friends. All of which were deeply special to me.

When I welcomed my second child in January, I went back to work in hospitality during the quiet wedding season. What I thought would be a short-term bartending gig turned into a buried passion being brought back to the surface. Eight months and two promotions later, I have recognised that I can only do my best in my new role and for my children if I close my books permanently.

I had the pleasure of officiating for Tahlia and Jackson over the weekend and it was so sweet. From the banters with the boys before the ceremony to holding my own tears back watching Tahliaโ€™s elegance when she arrived, this ceremony filled my heart up. T & J are my second to last couple before I wrap up my celebrancy career and I couldnโ€™t be happier to have had the honour. Best wishes for the future guys ๐Ÿค

From subtle glances and cheeky flirting in English class to us being absolute ratbags at high school parties together, Iโ€™ve had the joy of watching this beautiful love story unfold. And now, here we are celebrating the incredible life that Sienna and Corey have built together. Theyโ€™ve gone from teenage sweethearts to loving parents to their gorgeous daughter, proud homeowners and now husband and wife. My heart bursts.

Sienna and Coreyโ€™s journey began all the way back in 2015, a decade before they said โ€œI doโ€ this past weekend. What started as innocent flirting turned into a slow burn which quickly became an unstoppable fire.

Watching them grow not just as individuals but as a team has been nothing short of inspiring. Their bond is genuine, grounded, and full of joy.

I feel incredibly honoured to know you both and beyond privileged to have stood by your side as your officiant. Hereโ€™s to forever, Mr and Mrs Hawke!

It was a nice day for a โ€œWyattโ€ wedding ๐Ÿ˜‰
This weekendโ€™s ceremony was full of lots of laughter, warmth and tears of happiness. This was my first wedding where the couple chose to do โ€œshot rouletteโ€ to decide who did their vows first. It was badass.

Hope was a radiant bride. Jack didnโ€™t hesitate for a second when I asked if he thought he might cry when he sees her. โ€œAbsolutelyโ€ he said. And true to his word, he did (many times, it was so sweet). The whole ceremony felt grounded, joyful, and showed how deeply in love the pair are.

To Hope and Jack, it is a pleasure to know you and was an honour to officiate for you. I canโ€™t wait to continue to watch the goals you achieve and where life takes you as a married couple x

On May 2nd 2020, Zac and Sarah spent the night laughing with our friends and dancing to โ€˜Radar Detectorโ€™ in my tiny apartment kitchen. This was the night that their love story officially started.

Five years later to the date, I had the privilege of officiating for them at their wedding. Every part of the celebration was gorgeous, from the venue set up, the happy tears and even the funny moments (like Sarah putting Zacโ€™s ring on before cue) ๐Ÿคฃ

I am so lucky to have you two as my best friends, and Iโ€™m thankful that you entrusted me with your special day. I canโ€™t wait to watch the beauty of your marriage grow each year & celebrate your future milestones with you x

Thatโ€™s a wrap, folks! The countdown to babyโ€™s arrival is on and ๐ˆ ๐š๐ฆ ๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ฏ๐ž. From January 1st to August 31st, Iโ€™ll be stepping away from performing ceremonies with the exception of existing bookings. But Iโ€™ll be slowly easing back into work after our boy arrives.

This means that whilst in-person meetings will be on pause, Iโ€™ll be available from May 2025 onwards for Zoom sessions for couples wanting to book me for their Sep 2025 and beyond ceremonies ๐Ÿ’Œ

Thank you all for your support this year. My first year as a celebrant has been a joy, from the heartwarming ceremonies to the laughter-filled planning sessions. I canโ€™t wait for many more to come ๐Ÿ–ค Happy New Year!

On Nov 23rd, down in Lammermoor with their two daughters and close family by their sides, Helena and Jymi said yes to their forever ๐Ÿ–ค

Theyโ€™d planned to tie the knot much sooner, but life kept them busy. So, it was decided that they would postpone for a while to make sure that when their special day did come that everything went perfectly. Then, in October during a drive to Brisbane, they decided, โ€œWhy wait any longer? Letโ€™s do this!โ€

My favourite moment from the day was when Jymiโ€™s great-grandmother โ€˜Gigiโ€™ shared how happy she was to see Jymi with someone as wonderful as Helena.

โ€œAll you want in life is for your kids, your grandkids, your great grandkids to find happiness, and he has. Helena is perfect for himโ€.

Hereโ€™s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and happily ever after! Congratulations to The Spencers ๐Ÿพ

Katrina and Mick asked me to take care of the legal side of their marriage ahead of their big celebration in April 2025, where their best mate will officiate their ceremony.

After exchanging vows and rings in the heart of their beautiful property in The Caves, we hopped onto the Polaris and cruised back to the house to pop the champers and sign the paperwork ๐Ÿพ Such an easy, breezy (literally) and stress-free day

It was such an honour to be part of this special moment. I canโ€™t wait to see photos from the big day next year! ๐Ÿฅณ
