Where it all started… 🎨

It started at a local festival, where I was volunteering to help raise awareness for Girl Guides.

One wonderful Girl Guide Leader asked me a simple question:

“Would you like to have your face painted?”

“YES! Super fun!” I said.

Little did I know that one little face-painting experience would plant a seed.

Later that year, when Mum asked what to get the kids for Christmas, I suggested a joint gift…

Face paints!

And here we are.

What started as a bit of fun at home, painting the kids and experimenting with designs, slowly grew into a passion — and eventually Acacia Face Painting.

And I’m still having just as much fun painting faces today!

That’s where the Acacia Face Painting story began.

Behind the scenes the night before an event ✨

While everyone else is winding down, I'm busy cleaning brushes, organising paints, packing supplies, and making sure everything is ready for a day full of smiles and colourful creations. 🎨🌈

A lot of preparation goes into face painting before the first child sits in the chair, but seeing the excitement on their faces makes it all worthwhile.

There is nothing like bringing colour, fun and smiles to an event! 💕✨

“Party Planning Tip 🎉🖍️✨

Have a simple ‘go-to’ activity set up that kids can join at any stage of the party.

Things like:
🌈 colouring pages or table runners
✂️ easy crafts (flower crowns are a great option for a fairy/garden theme)
🫧 sensory play

These little activity spots are perfect for kids who arrive early, need a quiet moment, or are waiting for their turn at face painting or games.

It helps the party flow more smoothly — and keeps little hands busy and happy 💕
