📅 Saturday, 12 July 2025 | 07:30 PM to 09:50 PM

The importance of British Rock through the 60’s and 70’s cannot be overstated. From the British invasion changing the pop landscape in the early 60’s, to the British Blues revolution bringing this genre’s music back to Americans in the mid 60’s, the iconic seeds of Heavy Rock delivering a massive stylistic shift in the late 60’s, and Glam, Punk, and pure Rock and Roll consistently leading the charge through the 70’s, British Rock from this era is some of the most important music of the rock generation.

Join us for a stunning 2-hour showcase of “The History of British Rock – The Sixties and Seventies,” brought to you by The Album Show in conjunction with Ben Maiorana Entertainment. Featuring a full live band of some of the most accomplished musicians from all over the country, including Michael Carpenter, John Kater, Maddy Breen, Russell Crawford, and Rodney Auld, this show will take you from the early 60’s all the way through to the late 70’s.

Covering artists from The Beatles to Queen, from The Hollies to T-Rex, and from the Stones to ELO, with a full visual accompaniment, the show promises to be a memorable night filled with more iconic songs than you can imagine. This era in music remains pivotal from both a creative and social perspective.

🎸 A POP-ROCK ADAPTATION OF RICK SPRINGFIELD’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY 🎶

📅 Sunday 20 July | 2pm

🎟️ Tickets $40 | BOOK NOW ➡️ mbrc.link/rec-late

Get ready for an exhilarating journey with "Late, Late At Night," a pop-rock stage adaptation of Rick Springfield’s compelling autobiography, the New York Times best-seller. Written by award-winning Australian playwright Kieran Carroll and starring rising Sydney performer Jackson Carroll, this show is directed by Robert Johnson and features over 20 fantastic Springfield gems from Zoot to the present day, including many of his 17 Top 40 American hits from the 1980s.

The autobiography, self-penned by Springfield, traces his life from the 1950s through to 2010, covering his Australian and British childhood, early music days in Australia, rollercoaster ride in 1970s America, huge pop and acting successes of the 1980s, fall from public view, mental health struggles, and eventual resurrection as an artist in the 21st century.

This two-act, one-man show goes far beyond Rick’s popular pop image, capturing the heart and essence of his major concerns and musings: depression, God, self-motivation, love versus s*x, music versus acting, his family, and the way America shaped him.

"Late, Late At Night" is a tumultuous and exhilarating journey of an Australian-American songwriter whose 17 top 40 hits in America and sales of 25 million albums worldwide make him one of Australia’s most successful musical exports of all time.

Don't miss this epic journey of a suburban boy whose path to fame and fortune came with large personal costs.
