When James planned his proposal to Sasha, he managed to include Australia’s #1 breakfast program ‘Sunrise’ in his plans & the next chapter of their beautiful love story was witnessed by almost a million Aussies. Incredible!

Needless to say, as James & Sasha’s celebrant I knew their ceremony had to be extra special too. Heartfelt & joyful, while also honouring the sacred significance of the occasion.

In harmony with Sasha’s Bahai faith, the ceremony was conducted in accordance with Bahai laws and I was honoured to meet the representative who attended from the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahai’s of Sydney.

It's pretty amazing to work with couples from different cultural & religious backgrounds who are looking to acknowledge & celebrate those differences in their marriage ceremony. Partly because I know personally how important it is, and also because these differences can bring so much depth and beauty to the ceremony.

Sometimes a ceremony is so full of L O V E that it leaves me quite speechless (I know, somewhat unexpected for celebrant when a main part of our role is talking, but it’s true).

This was such a day. Heartfelt, powerfully real, and meaningful beyond measure. An incredible gathering of souls ready express their joy and support.

And now, one year on I still reflect on the beauty of that day. Biggest congratulations Yemi and Steve 💕 May all your days shine so bright. Thank you for the honour of being your celebrant.

Celebrating 10 years 💕

It’s gone by so quickly! We must be having fun.

A whole decade since that bright summer day surrounded by our nearest & dearest. Until we met, I’d never imagined getting married in the Armenian church, nor did I even know about Armenian customs. OH how I’ve learnt so much since then!

In Armenian tradition we were crowned as “King & Queen of our kingdom” - that is, our family home. Now ten years on, together we have a beautiful family and home. What was once a dream is now our reality and how incredible is that.

My love, we make a good team. In ten years some things have changed but our foundations remain the same.

I’m so glad we found each other. I love being your wife. Happy anniversary.

Have I mentioned how I love being a celebrant?

Because I really, really love being a celebrant 💕 It took time & lots of other jobs before coming into this role. For a while I’d been impatient; wondering when I was going to find ‘the’ thing that I could put all my focus on, and pour my li’l (big) heart into. Nowadays I’m glad for that extra time & experience because it all helps in making each ceremony uniquely special.
