We farewelled a beautiful and beloved Mum who was described by her family as a ‘Wonder Woman.’ This was perfect for dear V.W. It nestled quietly near the chapel flowers in her favourite colours. Little touches like this are so lovely. RIP V.W. 🌷

‘Every day has something wonderful in it, if you look for it.” Today, with laughter and tears, we farewelled a wonderful man, who lived by that motto. Despite the sadness, we did find something wonderful- the daffodils dazzling in the sunshine, the splashes of bright yellow peeking out everywhere at Fawkner cemetery, a beautiful, perfect winter’s day. 1950s wedding photo of my lovely friend Beverley ss a beautiful bride. I first met Beverley a few years ago, after I had finished conducting a funeral service for her old neighbour. She came up to me, thanked me and whispered into my ear, “I’m not sick , but I want to book you in to do my funeral whenever that happens. I’ll inform my solicitor first thing tomorrow. Let’s meet next week for afternoon tea to prepare it all.” So we did and have since spent many hours over copious tea and cake talking about her fascinating life. Beverley turned 90 in April. Incredibly, at her party, were her two bridesmaids - they’d stayed close friends for 80 years! All three, bright and bubbly, were dressed to the nines for such a milestone celebration. A beautiful story of loyalty and love.

It was pretty special to have 4 generations together at sweet Zoe’s Naming ceremony and 1st birthday today. So much love in that room for her and her wonderful parents.
