My names Carly and I manage, coordinate and own Sassy Snaps Perth! I’m a mum of two young boys; Sam and Noah, and started this business is 2015 with my mum. I now run it by myself after my mum pursued a career in nursing and I followed the party bug while remaining a stay at home mum for now. My favourite are kids parties but I also love planning baby showers, engagements, hens, christenings and m

ore! (I haven’t worked my way up to weddings yet - sorry!)

Unless I’ve got a photographer available, most photos of our events you see are taken by me too. I wear a few hates and also love doing all the stationary for our events too! I work with the best industry vendors to bring your event to life. If you have a vendor whom you prefer just let me know and we can arrange! Each quote is tailor made to suit each one of my clients needs. Though I do offer some packages for anyone who wants a simple and easy transaction with my prices posted on my wall. Barbie Beach Club 🩷👙🐚

For my niece’s birthday we tried to keep budget down by combining elements from two of our previous themes to create the cutest Barbie Beach Party moment 💖 And I think it’s a perfect example of how we can style events on different budgets!

Instead of starting completely from scratch we mixed pieces from our existing catalogue;
💞 Barbie Head, Pink Chairs, Welcome Signage from our recent Barbie themed event
🌊 Beach House, Surfboards and Palm Tree from our Beach Club party

Of course it helps her aunty is a stylist who owns event furniture and knows how to style a balloon garland 😝 And her nana is an amazing cookie and cake decorator 😘 But repurposing existing props meant we were able to save some money by not getting all new items made and still creating a totally unique look!

This is something I will often go out of my way to help clients with ~ I will never dismiss a client who thinks we are out of budget but rather redirect them into where we can cut costs and what we might do to assist. Because sometimes the best setups come from getting a little creative ✨

STORY TIME 👉 Event professionals will understand 🙈

We always resolve to fix the problems before it ever becomes a clients problem but it’s not always the case! This event we had a packed weekend, and our delivery of signage, including cake toppers got kidnapped! That’s right. Delivery driver ran off with the items (they were returned after the event had well and truly passed but I will never forget nor will 🤪).

We had to scramble the night before to remake and adjust from our local helpers to replace the missing items. Phones were ringing, texts were being sent, favors were called in and legends stepped in. My mum had her3D printer running all night, my friends at who also had a packed weekend scrambled to give us what they had. It was a disaster behind the scenes but we remained calm and ensured we had pieces for everything for the impacted events the next day.

However…. (It doesn’t end there!) this particular event had a typo in the birthday boys name 🤯 Completely my error as everything was remade at the last second quality control was not at the forefront. When the clients walked in and we realised we once again had to scramble onsite.

We snapped letters on the cake topper, we removed and replace letters on the decal we apologised profusely. We never ever want the chaos to reach our clients but sometimes it does. The party itself was still a success but as the planner I will remember the fiasco forever. Each mistake is branded into me and more steps get put into place to ensure repeats never happen.

Maybe I shouldn’t share this story - but I’m human and this business is run by a human. I will always try to be transparent where it matters because every day I ask for your trust and you can’t trust me if you don’t have all the information. 🩵

I am so grateful to the local legends who surround me who came through from drama to drama surrounding this chaotic weekend. 🙏 A planner is only as good as the people she surrounds herself with 😅 xox

Behind the scenes of a very late week 💙🍿

Not all weeks are the same but we always push through to ensure everything is perfect for event day even if it means 3am nights 3 days in a row 🫩😴

Swan river views, a grand entrance, race track details… AND a waterslide?! Pretty perfect setting for a summer birthday party if you ask us 🤩

Proof you don’t need bright colours for a kids party for it to still feel fun and exciting! 🏁 Layered element backdrop, kids table with filled party favours and BUMPER CARS - this whole party was an absolute VIBE. {and I absolutely realise how much I’m using the word vibe lately 👀 I’m just trying to stay cool guys} 😎
