My names Carly and I manage, coordinate and own Sassy Snaps Perth! I’m a mum of two young boys; Sam and Noah, and started this business is 2015 with my mum. I now run it by myself after my mum pursued a career in nursing and I followed the party bug while remaining a stay at home mum for now. My favourite are kids parties but I also love planning baby showers, engagements, hens, christenings and more! (I haven’t worked my way up to weddings yet - sorry!)

Unless I’ve got a photographer available, most photos of our events you see are taken by me too. I wear a few hates and also love doing all the stationary for our events too! I work with the best industry vendors to bring your event to life. If you have a vendor whom you prefer just let me know and we can arrange! Each quote is tailor made to suit each one of my clients needs. Though I do offer some packages for anyone who wants a simple and easy transaction with my prices posted on my wall. I actually love the story behind this setup because it highlights something people don’t always see 👉

One of the best parts of this industry is the relationships you build. I may have styled this engagement party for my sister but I also knew when to call on the people who do certain things better than I can. As a stylist my roll is to bring it all together into one cohesive style, not do everything myself. Knowing the right people and having relationships in place make all the difference when it comes to the day of.

Our gorgeous florals were beautifully reworked by Diana from because floristry is definitely not a strong skill of mine. 🤍 Tenielle from added her stunning ch*****ne tower, and finished it with the little black bows and elegant black draping table that tied in perfectly. Delivered and setup onsite as well as packed down at the end without any accidents or fuss if we were to do ourselves. My mum from worked her usual magic on cookies and the cake giving us a feature moment that also tasted great 🖤

Creating beautiful events is rarely a one-person job and I’m grateful to work and know such talented people in the industry. Thank you 😘

There is something so special about being invited back to celebrate life’s biggest milestones with the same families. 🤍

From baptism’s to birthdays and everything in between it means the world when clients trust me again and again with their special moments.

🐍 I guess it’s the year of the snake… (it’s actually year of the 🐴 ) but come on! How amazing is it to see two amazing reptile theme parties on my schedule? 😍

Our client had done an amazing wild one theme birthday before so we steered clear of the greens and browns and introduced a bright pop of colour for her boys next birthday!

And how fun did it turn out? Helping to brainstorm ideas is part of the journey when you book with us ✨

Sam’s Wild 9 🦎💚

This party started as a camping theme… then a bit of an adventure theme, then reptiles… before evolving into this skating chameleon situation 😎 and honestly? It suited my cool dude perfectly.

One thing I always love when planning my boys parties is asking THEM what they think is cool. While I may take over aesthetically there is no point throwing a party they won’t like 🤷‍♀️ We threw around ideas, mashed themes together and slowly built a theme that was personal to them instead of copying a trend.

This party became a mix of reptiles, skating culture, checkerboard details, bright colours, sensory play and laid back fun. We didn’t want the party to feel overly “kiddie” now we had a big 9 year old (who keeps reminding me he’s nearly in double digits!)

From reptile encounters to the oobleck rescue station, colour matched grazing table and new wavy tables - every detail felt so ‘Sam!’ 🛹🐍

Seeing the kids completely immersed in it all made every late night worth it 🩵 A HUGE thank you to the absolute dream team that helped bring this one together:

Proof you don’t need an over the top budget to create something FUN 🍒 (different from a realistic budget)

Our sock hop tables we wanted to keep super simple and affordable so we did some plastic tablecloths to get the colours in, which didn’t turn out so bad at all {another affordable alternative is $2/m poplin fabric from spotlight}

We used the venue’s plates and cutlery so just did some simple record placemats and carried the theme through some simple paper menu’s and wrapped ketchup + mustard bottles. The little touches really take your event that extra step ✨

We added our pops of blue and red with some simple stem vases from our girl 🩵❤️🩷 These are great alternatives to full arrangements if working on a budget and still make an impact 🌸

What really personalised the tables though was our crafted trivia games. I printed a mix of sock hop and 50’s themed trivia games onto A5 paper, even mixed in a customised trivia game about our birthday girl to give it a personalised touch. The winner received a lovely snack hamper for two to watch their favourite movie ⚡️🎶
