I’ve been pottering along on something new for about 3 years now, not a secret, just not yet announced. I wanted my craft to be perfect. But with a lifetime craft, the perfection is in the learning, not the outcome. So I’ve made peace with the fact that perfect will always be a never ending pursuit.

Those who know me, know that I talk a lot about the importance of community, yet here I am, hiding from mine.
So that ends now. I want to open up the workspace, bring you into the process, and discover it all together as Side Serve grows into an explorative Studio space and very soon, that becomes official. is on its way.

I’ve been quietly building my ceramic skills and I’m nearly ready to launch our inaugural collection available for hire first, and then small batch wares available eventually to purchase. But for now… I’ve learned that every new plate idea brings a whole new humble lesson, and I’d rather bring you along for the ride than wait until it’s “done.”

So come potter around with me. 🏺
Go easy on me though, 3 years in and I’m still very much a beginner.

Tonight I’m back at Leederville to host one of my favourite events of the year — their Christmas table-styling workshop.
It has been busy this week, but I’ve prepped something special for the guests attending tonight tonight.
Check out these incredible window decals by . I’ve used these as inspo for my tablescape and leaning into this year’s big trend: tartain and plaid! They are officially back. So we’re hitting the table with old-school green and white, a custom tartan cloth… and of course, gingerbread. A lot of gingerbread.

And because my Christmas always includes seafood, oysters had to make an appearance . These ones ones were a bit tricky to get them to last the length of the three week display but I think I’ve nailed it. What do you think?

Last stop is where my girl Hannah worked her magic ready for the Christmas season.

We’re set, we’re styled, and I cannot wait to show you how it all turns out, stay tuned!
