Just had a conversation about expectations and getting out of our own way and giving ourselves permission to fully be ourselves both as people and artists. And it made me think of the first wedding I ever photographed. How I had absolutely no idea what I should be doing so I just photographed everything how I wanted to. And you know what? I kind of still love the work I made on that day. So I’ll just be over here trying to embrace how I want to approach this work instead of how I think other people may want me to. That’s my work forever. And here are Daniel and Anne a decade ago. The very first couple ever to entrust me with the documentation of their day.
