I was in the middle writing this post when I heard the news that Dolly had passed. What an incredible life she had. All the rhinestones in the world were no match for her sparkle.

As the world farewells one of the greatest musicians, songwriters and philanthropists that ever lived🌹, I will absolutely be playing a tribute to Dolly Parton this weekend.

Let's honour her memory. We will always love you, Dolly. ❤️‍🔥

Both nights will have live country & western bands, free bootscooting lessons, barn dancing, square dancing, line dancing, dosie-dohing, drag performances, DJs, merch stall, cocktail bar, food, and a roving glitter station.

🌾 CLOSING NIGHT - THANK YOU 🌾

Thank you to The Blue Room for having me on board during the entire Winter Nights season. For trusting me with so many parts of your heritage-listed building. I'm a humble cat and feel so happy to have done you proud.

Thank you Sam Knox for being the best creative mentor a little spark could've asked for!!

Thank you to all the 600 Seconds family!! All the artists and crew for presenting such incredible new works this season. I went to see every single show and you're all AMAZING. I can't wait to follow your careers and cheer you on!!

And last but definitely not least. Thank you everyone who came to visit!

Payday Super is creating real challenges across the music industry.

While the reform is an important step towards improving retirement outcomes for artists and music workers, we're hearing that implementing the changes isn't always straightforward in a sector built around gigs, festivals, project-based work and multiple engagement models.

Music Victoria has been collecting examples from across our community and sharing them with Creative Workplaces, to help inform practical guidance and support. Those examples are now being used to work through industry scenarios with the Tax Institute.
