I don’t often share very openly about family things on my business page, however it’s not until something happens that you realise there isn’t enough awareness around it.
So here we are, in July last year my rock, backbone and number one supporter ended up in hospital. My mum had blacked out at work, which later was labelled a seizure. At the age of 50 she was diagnosed with EPILEPSY. It can happen at any age and your triggers do not have to be distinct. 1:25 People will be diagnosed in their lifetime.
For the month of March BA will be raising funds for all funds raised in WA stay in WA.
It’s not just being diagnosed with a disorder, it is now the constant list of specialist appointments, a full lifestyle change, daily medication, the fear of anything setting off a seizure.
It isn’t easy to be open and vulnerable, this is your reminder to be kind to everyone. Never take a moment for granted and hug those close to you. If you love someone let them know.
We will be participating in the purple walk 4 epilepsy on the 30th March and I would love your help in being able to hand over an amazing cheque to the foundation!
