What a hoot today was! 🦉

A BIG thank you to ✨Elaine✨ for teaching with me today.

Here are the 2 videos that we discussed today in class - both on the idea of 'sitting in the pocket of the beat' or lagging behind it.

The first is the video from Elaine and discusses the idea from the musician's perspective (listen out for around the 3:45 mark when they talk about how the bass 'grows' out of the drum)

Next is Duke Ellington being impossibly cool and teaching us all how to snap our fingers in time to the music.

One down and two to go!

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to the Rhythm & Balance Workshop this weekend past - HOT DAYM Y'ALL CAME WITH GOOD VIBES 🤩 We love, we love.

Next up! MOMENTUM! This is a big one, arguably the most crucial. It's all about - Lindy is all about transferring and redirecting energy -this workshop will explore how that works why it's so pivotal.

Please enjoy this fantastic shot of energy in motion!
