I've known Jace for a long time now so it was an incredible honour when he approached me to perform his wedding ceremony. When I met Sandra for the first time, I felt even more honoured as I met a lady who was so deserving of Jace, just as he was of her. They were such a beautiful couple who made my job as a celebrant easy with a story of love that flowed wonderfully into a ceremony filled with laughs, love and life.

A couple of weeks ago I returned to Sandalford Winery to perform the wedding of Annie and Shane. Something that stood out to me about these two were their incredibly light hearted nature from out first meeting then through the whole process. They were fun, and ever so romantic bringing a smile to my face everytime I saw them together and the way the gazed at one another. Their love and devotion to their daughter Adeline made everything all the more special.

Annie and Shane, I hope you have the most joyous of marriages and I hope you continue to gaze at each other the same way for the rest of your lives ❤️

On Thursday night, I got to perform the wedding of Karol and Sarah, an absolutely wonderful pair of people, who in addition to being kind, funny and. So polite, were incredibly easy to work with. No banter was off limits and this resulted in an easy flowing, fun and readily adaptable script to accommodate, well, the unpredictable moments in a ceremony 😉 I'm sure my couple's son Caden didn't completely mean to make the moment all about him, but being completely daddy obsessed, there was no stopping it! Fortunately, everyone loved the flow and there was nothing but smiles the whole way through.

Karol and Sarah, never change who you are. You are a great couple and amazing, loving parents. I wish you both all the best in life ❤️

Happy first anniversary to an absolutely wonderful couple. I met Liam through having working with his dad AND sister before, and having known them saw the similarity in how considerate and caring he was. Then I got to meet Bella and on hearing their story, just immediately adored everything about them. A 💯 truly amazing pair, whose story was filled with laughs from their first meeting, to Bella having to live with a boy 😂, until a beautiful proposal. Sharing in how people have got to the wedding I'm involved in is one of the best parts of my job.

I think I'm always going to have good things to say about a couple when they invite me to stay for food and drinks after the ceremony 😂 But even without that, I wouldn't have enough wonderful words to say about Leif and Janita. They are two truly wonderful people who were so fun to work with. It was so much fun, I didn't actually expect the emotions to pop out as much as they did. As soon as Janita walked down the aisle, Leif's eye sprung a leak and didn't stop. The combination of laughs and love made for a beautiful ceremony. And here I am getting photos while they are on their honeymoon! Crazy kids 😂

Leif and Janita, thank you for involving me in your special day, letting me stay to hear the beautiful words of your family and friends, and just being awesome people. Now go have fun on your honeymoon! ❤️

Something I love about being part of a tight knit wedding community is when I can help others in a bind. So was the case with Hina and Admire's wedding, when plans had to change last minute. But I am so glad I got to be involved in the wedding of this wonderful couple as it was so much fun, particularly with Admire's side of the crowd, who's cheers throughout the ceremony spread a huge smile all across my face! It might be a Zimbabwe thing because they were cheers like no other! The emotions in the ceremony were incredibly high with some beautiful personal vows from Admire and Hina. You could feel the love through every minute.

Only last weekend I was at one of my favourite scenic venues for the wedding of Todd and Amie. From the moment I sat down with these two, I knew it would be a fun ceremony with the amount of banter they had, and the free reign I was given to sass them without restriction! The day was perfect for a wedding, and when Amie's parents arranged Scott the bagpipe player for our Scottish groom, you could feel the atmosphere shift to real love, recognising how accepted he was into their family. The emotions boiled over in the ceremony, with tears and laughs and it was a genuinely beautiful experience.

Back at the start of November, I performed the wedding of Steph and Pete, an amazing couple I met at a wedding expo. With the stunning backdrop of Quinns Beach behind us, the day was magical, in perfect weather matching the personalities of the couple. Their boys Oisin and Aiden made for some funny moments like Ois chasing a bug across mum's dress, the types of impromptu moments I love.

21 years. That's how long I have known the bride from my last wedding of 2023. Working at the Casino all those years ago, Ritta was like a second mum... Or well, a big sister who would beat me up, but was always there when I needed advice. So I was overjoyed when she told me she had met the man of her dreams and wanted to marry Ross. Knowing Ritta for all that time, I knew she needed a strong man who would be able to give back everything she dished out, and boy was he that man! I loved his laid back attitude and his witty repartee. These two were a match made in heaven!

Ah, Deb and Lachie, what an unbelievably sweet couple. From the moment I heard their story of love I knew these two were perfect for each other. And Sitella was the perfect backdrop for their special moment. I could feel every emotion during the ceremony, standing with Lachie and seeing his reaction to his bride, then feeling the absolute connection between them when Deb arrived.
