While I have weddings that are a fancy affair, I am loving the new style since Covid where couples are choosing a smaller group and Zoom / Snap Chat out to family and friends that can not be present. this couple Zoomed both the rehearsal and the wedding ceremony overseas. I often forget the camera is rolling and try to engage the visitors into the ceremony

I received an invitation to join a Webinar on preparing for marriage. Both young couples and couples entering their 2nd or 3rd marriages.
I have watched the Webinar and it is also beneficial for couples (legally married or not) as every relationship has their ups and downs.

Had the weekend off to attend my Grandaughters wedding as a guest.
Different experience to sit back and watch someone run around.

Today we had a rehearsal for an upcoming wedding and I was introduced to Nanna, who had only come in from overseas and a surprise to our bride. How wonderful.
One of the issues I always take care of is who will look after the mother or grandmother before the ceremony, will someone es**rt them in, where will they sit, and after the ceremony I always approach them to assist them to join the bridal party going up the aisle. this is especially important if they do not have a partner. Do the same for guys but they are generally not so looking lost.
this is a wedding from many years ago where the couple asked if their grandparents could come up to the signing table to join in. And they did.
Always caring is important to make sure everyone is included.

A recent survey by Easy Weddings predict that 121,351 couples will marry in 2024. That is more marriages than pre-covid times.

Recently Celebrants were required by law to confirm with each of the couple, they were marrying of their free will. This procedure is done separately with each of the couple. This is to try to foresee possible forced marriages

Celebrants often hear "that is expensive for a 1/2 service" for a wedding that usually have about 15 hours of work.
Celebrants are registered by the AG in Canberra. They are required to take an exam each year. Also they have to keep their knowledge up to date through activities like training.
Today AFCC put on an information session with the crematorium staff at Pinaroo .. taking us from the time the hearst arrives up to time ashes are collected.
I now feel I am more informed and able to answer questions you may have on funeral cremations.
