👷‍♀️Temporary Closure of Public Amenities 🦺

From Monday 4 August, the public amenities building at Burswood Park will be temporarily closed while upgrade works get underway. We’re aiming to have everything completed by mid-September.

In the meantime, temporary facilities are available just 50 metres east, closer to Resort Drive, so you won’t be caught short during your visit.

Thanks for your patience as we work on these upgrades.

🦢 Restoration works are now underway at the much-loved Swan Fountain in Kagoshima Park, right here in Burswood Park.

Installed in 1988 to honour the Citizen of the Year Awards, this iconic bronze sculpture has been a familiar feature in the park for decades. The five swans represent the original award categories, with a cygnet added in 2002 to acknowledge the Youth category.

To allow safe access for the conservation team, temporary scaffolding and a pontoon have been set up around the fountain and the cygnet has been carefully relocated to a safe compound within the park while works are underway.

Thanks for your patience while we carry out this restoration 🛠️
