Last week saw a full house at the Business News 2025 Post Budget Breakfast at , where WA Treasurer unpacked this year’s State Budget and the outlook for WA’s economy, workforce and industries.

Lux was proud to support the delivery of the event’s technical production from LED screens and totems to audio and video integration.

Stage management is a critical part of event production and although he's often hidden behind the drape line, we'd like to throw the spotlight on our incredible Stage Manager, Robert Pilkington. He is truly the maestro behind the scenes and the most wanted man on stage! From coordinating the sound checks to managing the performances, he’s the backbone of our audio and production teams. His dedication, cool head, dry sense humour and professionalism set him apart as one of the best in the business and a Lux stalwart. We value him so much. Whether it's a corporate gala, live public event or conference you can always count on him.

Queens of the Stone Age 🎸 Started in Palm Desert, California in the 1990s. Known for their live performances and have played at sold-out arenas around the world.
For their 2024 Australian tour we supplied a complete lighting package for the WA show at auditorium. We had a great time working with LD and her team who absolutely delivered!

TEAM TALK // Meet Senior Event Manager, Amy.

Hailing from Northern Ireland, she fell in love with events after attending her very first concert – Westlife. Swept up by the lights and atmosphere, she made it her mission to make people feel the same joy she did in that moment. Since then, Amy earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Leisure and Event Management and has worked across multiple event disciplines.

Amy’s energy is matched with her approachability and good humour and she brings a wealth of international experience to the team. Amy once organised a roadshow with seven events across five cities in two countries with three weeks lead time – a true testament to her expertise, agility and diligence.

Thanks to our friends at we've just added the ultimate MA Lighting International gear to our lineup, featuring 2 x grandMA3 Full-size Consoles, a grandMA3 Processing Unit M, and 3 x LumiNode 12s. The new gear had no time in the warehouse before heading onsite!

Lux Events were a proud partner of the Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards 2023.

Held inside the Grand Ballroom at Crown Perth, Lux provided event and production management services, including lighting, audio, video, LED and multimedia.

Presented on stage by our Events Director, Kirsty Mainstone, Lux Events were also proud naming sponsors of two coveted awards; the 'Lux Events National Commercial/Industrial Construction – $50 million to $100 million' (won by McNab Construction) and the 'Lux Events National Commercial/Industrial Construction – $20 million to $50 million' (won by Fairbrother Construction).

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to Master Builders Australia for having us on board!

TEAM TALK // Tom joined Lux Events in January this year, following 14 years as an in-demand content producer across Australia and the United Kingdom.

He studied media studies at college, which sparked his interest in the creative media industry. In 2008, Tom bought a DSLR camera and started making questionable promotional videos for anyone who would pay him. Taking the side hustle full time and deciding to make a real go of it, he founded Videokeg in 2010, which saw him guide over 100 brands through more than 400 creative content projects.

Most recently, Tom worked as a Sports & Content Producer for Kojo. During this tenure, Tom was the Lead Producer on the 2023 BBL Grand Final, which stands out as one of his all-time career highlights – especially when the team secured a clutch victory and he was invited to celebrate with them in the locker room!

Tom is also the Co-Founder of Amberlight app, which provides free coaching and group sessions to help people kick vices, addictions, bad habits and discover how to improve self-control.

When each day presents unique challenges that require innovative solutions, Tom is your man. He thrives on problem-solving and is a great bloke who is a valuable asset to the Lux team.

Tom is a dedicated family man, spending as much time as possible with his wife and three kids when he’s not on the job.
