A very special celebration for Donna & Elias last night at Crown Perth. A few hiccups along the way. Especially when your chosen venue closed down and they had to start all over again to find another venue available on one of the busiest event dates in the calendar year. Luck was on their side when a cancellation popped at Crown and as they say....some things are meant to be for the better 💛

We were so happy to share in bringing this all together for them and also love the connection as we styled Donna's sister's wedding in May 2021 😍

Did you know the best way to remove wax from your glass candle holders?
Follow these steps :-

1. Remove the pillar candle where possible
2. Place the glass holder in the freezer
3. Leave overnight or at least until frozen
4. Check the wax is frozen
5. Remove the holders from the freezer and slide off any leftover wax.
6. A gentle warm soapy wash and your glass holder are ready for another use.

Hope that helps anyone struggling to clean up after the wedding.

Ever wondered why our biz name is A Flamingo Surprise? Well, when we first started our little biz which was not anything to do with weddings, we used to sprinkle the front lawns of unsuspecting peeps celebrating a special occasion with…..you guessed it….pink flamingos 🦩🦩🦩🦩
It was usually me with a 4am start to sneak around someone’s front yard and plant a flock of flamingos and set up a special sign in celebration for their special day. So that was the surprise they woke up to and the displayed stayed there all day!!
We had a few other party things that we supplied with our business so it was lots of fun but it didn’t take long until we kept getting asked if we could help couples with their wedding styling. And of course it was something that I couldn’t resist.

So long story short…..the flamingos got the flick (except for our biz name) and our business journey evolved into something that I never would have expected 💛

So happy that we get to do what we love every day and meet sooooo many awesome couples along with all the amazing vendors we get to work with and share our stories (and gossip 🤭), and not to mention working in so many awesome venues.

As they say…… “Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life”
