I don’t often show myself on social media.
Mostly because it has never really been about me.
It has always been about the people who place their trust in me, my team and the experience we create together.
But if you’ve ever wondered who is behind the beautiful setups, the calm on the wedding day and the moments you see here… this is me.
Jody.
Owner and Creative Director of Jody Q Weddings.
This photo was taken during the speeches at one of our weddings and honestly, it couldn’t be more me.
You’ll usually find me somewhere in the background, watching my couples laugh, seeing them finally relax and taking in the moments they may not even realise are happening.
From our very first hello, I’m emotionally invested.
Whether we spend a few months or two years planning together, I care deeply about my couples, their experience and how they want their wedding day to feel.
I listen.
To what matters.
To what they envision.
To how they want their wedding day to feel.
Because it has never been about my vision.
It has always been about theirs.
By the wedding day, I’m deeply invested in getting every moment exactly right. I calm the nerves, navigate the decisions and quietly carry the weight of the day because getting it right matters deeply to me.
The calm presence beside you.
The trusted voice guiding you.
The person quietly making sure every detail is exactly as it should be.
On the wedding day, my team and I look after everyone — our couples, their families, their guests and the incredible vendors we work alongside — so our couples can truly feel like guests at their own wedding.
It isn’t the flowers, the styling or the details.
It’s how you feel.
And then there’s the sign beside me.
Artist Found.
For someone who spends most of her time quietly in the background, perhaps that’s fitting.
Because after years of telling everyone else’s stories, this felt like the right time to share a little of mine.
Because it has never been about me.
It has always been — and will continue to be — all about you at Jody Q. 🤍
