Today would of been my Mum Carolyn's 80th Birthday . Mum is the C in LC's Bites , she taught me how to make scotch eggs but she taught me so much more than that,Mum had a love of cooking from hosting dinner parties to food prepping for a busy week , growing up there was always a shepherds pie , smoked fish in parsley sauce , tuna Patties and the list goes on .. one of my favs was her coffee and walnut cake , I whipped up one day today not as perfect as hers but the smells drifting from the kitchen took me back to growing up . Happy Heavenly Birthday Mum and thankyou for reminding me food is all about warm memories . ❤️

We heard you! So we are keeping our new beef on the menu ! Beef scotch egg served with Tom Cap relish from Small Batch Gourmet and sliced pickles... think beef egg tomato relish and pickles its your very own scotch egg Burger 🤷🏼‍♀️
And ofcourse we will have our crowd favorite the traditional Pork . We will be at Kyilla Community Farmers Market on Saturday and Stirling Farmers Market on Sunday . Lisa and Marco

We celebrated Lisa's birthday yesterday her request was The Berry Farm .. In Lisa's words Over many years, the Berry farm has been a family tradition on every trip down south. We would always have their famous pie and amazing chutneys accompanied with a glass of strawberry sparkling ( although yesterday I tried the plum sparkling) just being there brought back all those beautiful memories of family holidays ! and as we always say, food gives us joy in that way, bringing us those memories 😀 hopefully we achieve the same with you with our Scotch eggs ❤️

Baked some Easter treats today. One of the baked goods was a Easter biscuit recipe from my home county of somerset in the UK my late mum made these biscuits each Easter they have currants and oil of cassia through the dough the baking smells took me back to when mum would bake them and gave me such lovely memories. Its the same when we are at the markets, and we hear "oh my dear mum, used to make scotch eggs" or "Oh, I grew up with scotch eggs ".
