Tonight’s stilt walking was extra magical. We didn’t expect it to be busy after Christmas, but Santa has been busy making cameras which all of the lovely boys and girls came flocking to the foreshore to use!

Polaroid cameras, digital cameras, disposable cameras, the lot! There were tiny photographers everywhere, snapping away like pros. Thank you to the City of Mandurah for having us back again this year. 📸✨

A fairy big welcome to Peaches 🧚‍♀️✨
Peaches joined the team in October and we feel so lucky to have her. On Thursday night we headed out to Merredin, sharing smiles a little further from home. Thank you for having us 💕✨

Why we paint the way we do 🌈✨🧚

Our face painting is designed with your child’s comfort and wellbeing in mind. We avoid painting close to the eyes because it’s not only a hygiene risk but also a sensory overload for many kids. The skin around the eyes is delicate, and for little ones, having brushes or sponges there can feel invasive instead of fun. The only time we go over the eyes is for our classic skull design, everything else stays clear so kids can relax and enjoy the moment. We also steer clear of painting over lips (for obvious hygiene reasons) and don’t use oversized stencils. We recognise every child’s face is different, and we’d rather adapt our art than press a piece plastic over their face to make an especially intricate design.

Our brushes are thoroughly cleaned and sterilised throughout the session, so every design starts fresh 🌈✨🧚

We have two very special things about last weekend’s event!

First, we had the joy of welcoming our lovely new team member, Fairy Amelia! ✨ She sprinkled her first round of fairy magic in Bunbury, and we couldn’t be happier to have her join the Little Legends family.

Second, we had the honour of spreading smiles and sparkles at the Two Feet and a Heartbeat walk for in Bunbury. This beautiful charity event raises awareness for childhood-onset heart disease. It’s a 4km walk symbolising the four lives lost each week, or 8km for the eight babies born with a heart condition every day in Australia. ❤️

Our fairies shared glowing wishing stones, each one giving two wishes, one for yourself and one for someone else. Knowing these wishes were made for such a meaningful cause made the day even more special. 🌈✨

Thank you to HeartKids Bunbury and everyone involved for having us be part of such a touching and magical morning.

Happy Father’s Day! Today we celebrate Dads, Grandads, Stepdads and all the Father Figures who make childhood magical. One of the sweetest parts of our job is seeing kids rush to show Dad their new face paint, proud and excited to share the moment. It is those little smiles and “look at me!” moments that remind us how much fathers mean. Wishing all the amazing Dads in Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and beyond a day full of joy.

February feels like forever ago, but we are still smiling about this stilt walking gig. Our stilt walkers towered over the crowd, bringing colour, character, and plenty of photo opportunities. Stilt walking is one of our favourite ways to add extra wow to any event and our stilt walkers always know how to keep the fun going.

A little throwback to the Luminous Street Festival in the beautiful Town of Claremont, where our roving fairies sprinkled a little magic through the crowd. Our fairies wandered with their basket of glowing wishing stones, sharing smiles and stories. These special stones soak up all the fairy energy when you leave them on your windowsill, then glow in the dark. When they glow, you get two wishes – one for yourself because it is important to care for yourself, and one for someone else because it is kind to share the magic. Our roving fairies love moments like this, where a small gesture can light up more than just the night ✨✨✨

Throwback to February when our stilt walkers brought Fringe Festival in the City of South Perth to new heights! We love any excuse to break out the costumes, strap on the stilts, and spread smiles from up high. There is something magical about stilt walking through a crowd. Our stilt walkers see it all, wave to everyone, sometimes have a cheeky boogie (especially if is involved) and create moments people remember. If you spot our stilt walkers in the future, give us a wave!
