MANAGEMENT - Morning all, Melbourne Cup we had a couple of clubs on the go! All went without a hitch except for one sadly. No names will be mentioned, and we are not shifting blame BUT nor will we take a fall for something that was not our doing. Just because this business is small that does not mean we will not fight or stand up for what we believe in.
To our guests for this club as the owner I apologise profusely for letting you down. Irrespective of our belief that we are not in the wrong you were still let down and for that I apologise sincerely on behalf of my business. You do matter and the fact that you were let down I am sincerely sorry for!!!! I would be more than happy to discuss further for those who wish to my door is open.
I will however not apologise on behalf of the club. I ensured that communication was open and clear right to the day and all details were confirmed by the club. We had no involvement with bookings, and relied heavily on the information given back to us. We entered a meeting yesterday and it was very clear no one wanted to own anything regardless of having it in back and white.
It was an alternate drop 50/50 1 meat and 1 fish confirmed by the club. All fish were sent back demanding meat. In the end there were no meat left and only fish.
We did not deviate from the plan my staff tried their best to fix the problem on the spot.
Numbers were confirmed and we had extra turn up on the day without being notified. By rights it should have been closed off.
No dietary requirements were listed and we had 2 allergies to fish as guests.
Details such as these should have been checked and double checked. Guests should have been notified and finalised and it wasn't.
Comparing other clubs for this day and saddened to know one went to shambles. We had the same menu for the other clubs some opting for 2 course only. Difference was management contacted their guests and gave them the right to choose. Because of this we were able to cater and execute with out a hitch. We had correct numbers. We had correct food options. We had correct numbers. Everyone was ecstatic expect for one.
These guests we let down I am truly truly sorry!!!! If you wish to discuss further my door is open.
Bitter sweet our other clubs had the best time!
