Your bouquet has more to do with your dress than you might think.

Your bouquet shouldn’t be chosen on its own.
It should be considered alongside the dresses and overall styling.

The neckline, silhouette, fabric, train and veil all influence the shape, size and movement of each bouquet.

And it’s not only about the flowers.

Flowing ribbon can introduce another layer of texture and movement, catching the wind as you move through your portraits and adding something beautifully considered to the overall design.

There’s no need to opt for a standard bouquet style simply because it’s what you’ve seen before.

The shape, style, design, how it falls and even how it’s held can all be considered to create something that feels completely unique to you.

A cascading bouquet creates a completely different feeling to a compact, handheld bouquet. Just as a sculptural bouquet tells a different story to an en masse design.

The most beautiful bouquets don’t steal attention from the dresses. They complete them.

The impact isn’t just in how big you go. It’s in knowing where to go big.

Creating impact isn’t about putting flowers in every space.

It’s about understanding the spaces that matter most and knowing where a floral moment can completely transform them.

Sometimes that’s your ceremony backdrop.

Sometimes it’s your reception entrance.

Sometimes it’s the statement arrangement your guests see the moment they walk into dinner.

And this is where experience matters.

After working across countless venues, layouts and wedding styles, we know how to look at a space differently — to understand how your guests will experience it and where florals can become a defining part of that experience.

Because creating a statement is one thing.

Knowing where to make it is where the design comes in.

Planning your wedding?
Let’s create something considered, intentional and completely yours.

Why a cohesive wedding starts with a design concept, not Pinterest.

Pinterest should be inspiration, not the blueprint for your wedding.

A design concept is the bigger creative direction that guides the entire wedding. The colour palette, mood, textures, floral style, stationery, signage, linens, candlelight, draping and how each space flows into the next.

Collecting ideas is a great starting point, but the key is knowing how to bring them together into one cohesive vision.

The most cohesive weddings begin with a clear design concept. From there, every decision becomes easier.

Your florals complement your stationery.
Your stationery complements your styling.
Your styling complements your venue.

Rather than choosing beautiful things individually, every detail is considered as part of the bigger picture.

That’s when a wedding feels effortless. When every space connects, every detail belongs and the entire day feels like one considered design.

And that’s exactly what we do.

Getting married at Bendooley Stables? Here’s what we think is worth investing in. EAT. STAY. READ. LOVE

The Stables is our favourite venue of all time and one we find ourselves returning to time and time again. After designing so many weddings here, we know the space incredibly well and exactly where the right details can make the biggest impact.

Start with the ceremony. A statement backdrop is always worth it, whether that’s florals suspended from the iconic Bendooley hoop or arrangements designed beneath it that can later be repurposed into your reception. Statement aisle arrangements and a considered entrance with florals, custom signage and draping can completely transform the space from the moment your guests arrive.

For cocktail hour, scattered lamps are such a beautiful addition and bring warmth to the space.

Then those barn doors open.

The dance floor is one of our favourite spaces to make a statement. That iconic dance floor hoop gives us so many opportunities to create something completely unique to each wedding.

We’ve clustered floral arrangements around it, covered it entirely in flowers, created dreamy clouds of baby’s breath and suspended individual stems from above. Depending on the design, we love to incorporate draping and disco balls to completely transform the space.

The bar is another area we love to make a feature of with florals dripping off or hanging from above.

Then those curtains open.

The dinner reception is where everything comes together. Draping between the hoops brings softness from above while repurposed ceremony florals can become statement table ends, creating another impactful moment from pieces you’ve already invested in.

For the tablescape, we love bringing height and warmth through candlelight, lamps and unique florals, with every detail designed to complement the scale and architecture of the Stables.

The key with Bendooley isn’t filling every corner. It’s knowing which moments are worth investing in and making those moments count.

There’s a reason this will forever be one of our favourite places to create.

The finished space is only one part of what we do. The planning and preparation behind every detail is what brings it all together.

For Lani & Jonti at Zest Waterfront Venues in Mosman, that meant a 5am start for a 2:30pm bump in. 🦢

With a tight turnaround at the venue, this was one of those days where everything needed to be planned down to the smallest detail.

We created all of Lani and Jonti’s personal flowers, ceremony arrangements and reception pieces ahead of time, ready for our team to arrive and completely transform the spaces within our bump in window.

After flowering another wedding the day before, there was a lot happening behind the scenes, but careful planning and preparation meant every design was still executed exactly as intended, each space completely transformed and every detail brought together beautifully.

We curated every element of their day, from the florals and styling to the stationery and signage, considering the colour palette, architecture of the venue and lighting to ensure every detail worked beautifully within the space.

One of our favourite days for two of the sweetest people. 🤍

Why your tablescape should be designed around your menu.

Your tablescape shouldn’t just look beautiful. It should work beautifully too.

One of the very first questions we ask is how you’ll be serving your reception.

Shared platters require generous space throughout the centre of the table, so we intentionally cluster florals, candlelight and styling pieces together, allowing your food to become part of the experience without overcrowding the table.

An alternate drop gives us much more freedom to layer florals, candles and styling moments throughout the entire tablescape.

The most successful reception designs consider both aesthetics and functionality from the very beginning because your guests shouldn’t have to move flowers to enjoy dinner.

Why seasonality shouldn’t change your vision.

One of the biggest misconceptions about wedding flowers is that your vision has to change if your favourite blooms aren’t in season.

The truth is, great floral design isn’t about recreating a Pinterest image flower for flower. It’s about understanding the overall feeling you’re trying to create and designing around what’s naturally at its best.

Sometimes that means sourcing flowers from different growers. Sometimes it means combining fresh flowers with premium silk florals in a way that’s completely seamless. Other times, it’s about introducing another variety that achieves the same shape, movement or texture.

The goal isn’t to copy a recipe. It’s to create the same feeling during each season with the same vision in mind.

The most beautiful weddings aren’t defined by one flower. They’re defined by thoughtful design.

We’d love to be part of your day, helping you navigate seasonality while staying true to the vision you’ve always had.

When your venue already has this much beauty, the florals and styling should feel like they just belong there. 🥀

For Alex and James, we took inspiration from the gardens and modern sculptural designs to create a concept that felt completely at home within the grounds at The Merribee

Lime greens and whites formed the foundation of this colour palette with touches of deep burgundy anthuriums and cymbidium orchids bringing contrast and an unexpected edge the over aesthetic. Sculptural calla lilies, cascading hellebores and trailing amaranthus added movement and height throughout the designs.

For the ceremony, the florals were designed to feel as though they were growing naturally from the garden, framing the aisle and ceremony space without taking away from the beautiful surroundings.

We carried the same floral direction into the reception with sculptural arrangements, incorporating pears and grapes into the tablescape for another layer of texture and detail. Antique silverware became a statement throughout the styling.

We selected pieces from our styling inventory to elevate each space, from antique silverware and custom linen table numbers to our gorgeous Bloom wishing well and tall sage green taper candles, with every detail chosen to bring the overall concept together.

We can’t wait to share more with you from their beautiful day. 🥀🍇

Repurposing your ceremony flowers doesn’t happen on your wedding day. It happens months beforehand.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The most successful repurposing begins while we’re designing your ceremony.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ll consider where your flowers need to move, how they’ll be transported, what they’ll look like in their second location and whether they’ll create just as much impact there as they did during your vows.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Repurposing isn’t an afterthought.
It’s part of the original design.
