How we don’t already have a national data base or why it’s so hard to get done is beyond me. How can we expect to get to a cure if we don’t have a proper data source to understand any possible patterns and track cases etc. once we get a national data base, there needs to be a world wide one.

Motor Neurone Disease IS a death sentence. It is beyond me that nothing has really progressed on this.

A bloke by the name of Waz, rose his lawn mower last year to Parliament House to get some attention in this year, but here we are, over a year later, and no change and none on the horizon.

🌟 Support Finn’s Incredible Fundraising Efforts for MND! 🌟

At just 10 years old, my nephew, Finn Cadman is leading the way to make a difference after his beloved “Glampa” Shane Lewis was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Last year, Finn raised an amazing $6,500 for the MND VIC relay , and this year he’s aiming to smash his goal of $10,000 to support MND Victoria and the vital care they provide to families like ours.

But Finn isn’t stopping at fundraising. He’s advocating for change because he knows firsthand the challenges families face when someone they love is diagnosed with MND. Those diagnosed under 65 have access to the NDIS, while those over 65 are left to navigate aged care systems that offer far fewer resources. Finn wants to ensure everyone gets the care and support they deserve, no matter their age. In 2024 Finn spoke at parliament about this need for change, has met with many local MP’s, and was even appointed the Junior Ambassador for MND Victoria in recognition of his efforts to advocate for people with MND. Remember, this kid is only 10 years old.

Dexter is showing off a special harness we made for a lovely customer as a freebie! We loved the idea of doing something for her daughter’s dog, so given it’s not something we’ve done a lot of, we did this one up as a complimentary gift!

This is a devastating disease and for those over 65 when diagnosed it's an even bigger blow, as the government funding and support available is dramatically reduced.
