Ever wondered what life was like at Tocal in the 1850s?

Well come and take a peek at Thunderbolt’s Cottage this Sunday and discover the fascinating story behind this historic building.

Built around 1835, this cottage is named after the oral tradition that Fred Ward lived here while working at Tocal in the 1850s. Fred Ward would later become the notorious bushranger Captain Thunderbolt.

This is just one of the fascinating buildings you can explore at our Open Days.
The next building you should explore is the Blacksmith shop!

Bring the kids, see our farm animals and enjoy some freshly baked scones along with a barista made coffee on the lawn.
