The world is a little sadder today, with the loss of highly acclaimed non-binary poet, Andrea Gibson. I have used excerpts from their poem, I Do, with several of my q***r couples. Almost every couple I marry is seeking a meaningful ceremony that allows them to tell their story. They want a wedding ceremony that they can identify with and celebrates their love, in a way like no one else they know has done.

When two people from a country that does have marriage equality travelled to Melbourne so I could marry them, they took up@my suggestion to exchange gorgeous watches rather than rings. It’s safer. Very intimate. And timeless, just like their love. Congrats. You know who you are.
