Thank You & Goodbye!

With mixed emotions, we announce that we will be closing our doors on August 31st—not because we don’t LOVE catering for all your social events, but because we are ready for a new chapter. (By “we,” I mean me—Akita!)

After seven amazing years of creating gorgeous spreads for all types of events with wonderful clients and fantastic vendors, we have decided it’s time for the REST of our lives!

We have had such a wonderful time being involved in weddings, first birthdays, and every event in between.

We will continue catering until August 31, so if you’re looking for an excuse to book catering, here it is!

We are offering a THANK YOU discount of 10% off all orders over $250, featuring all our regular products!

🚨 PLEASE SHARE IN hopes it reaches the disgraceful courier company, COURIERS PLEASE! 🚨

As a small business owner, my usual process after completing an event is straightforward: my clients leave the props in a container for collection the following day. I’ve been doing this for years without a hitch—until now.

This time, a courier driver stole over $1,000 worth of my props, platters, and wooden boards. It’s honestly heartbreaking! What kind of person would have the audacity to take some dirty props from a container? The box wasn’t labeled for shipping, nor was it a mistake on the carrier’s part. He clearly checked the box for contents, then opened his van and took it!

I’ve reached out to Couriers Please to explain the situation, but I’ve received absolutely no response. I’ve spent years collecting my platters and boards from various stores to create beautiful tables for my clients, and to have them just stolen is soul-crushing.

This isn’t just about the loss of items; it’s about the trust that’s been shattered and the pain it causes to a small business trying to make its mark. Please share this post to raise awareness and hopefully hold this courier company accountable!
